Thank you OT! You helped me pass in the last three exams. No text book at all, just your lectures and an exam kit.
April 16, 2018 at 9:16 am #44723754% using kaplan kit. Now back to OT lectures for P4.
January 15, 2018 at 8:43 am #429809Thank you OT! 65 % by listening to the OT lectures and reading the Kaplan kit.
July 18, 2016 at 9:20 am #32678369%. Thank you Mike and OT. Did not have time to read the textbook due to health issues and decided to watch all your lectures and do almost 80% of the BPP revision kit and this is what I got.

June 6, 2014 at 5:48 pm #174758pakistan098, I had the same mix as you for the projects. The NVP of E was going for sure to be negative since it was stated that1) it was going to be undertaken for strategic reasons and 2) we had to assume a 0 NPV to continue with the other parts of the question. If it were positive than why to use 0?? At least that was my logic when first reading the question.
It was not a difficult exam compared to some mock exams I tried yesterday, and I think this was the reason for making it almost impossible to finish all questions in the time provided. I am good in time management but this one was tough.
Good luck to all and enjoy summer now, till results time 🙂February 8, 2014 at 8:11 am #15660775%

February 8, 2013 at 12:09 pm #116127You better read the second post too :). I am 2 years far from where you are now.
February 8, 2013 at 11:56 am #116115Do you see now how confused I am :):):)? Didn’t even recognize it was P5 and not F5. Mobile’s side effects… Congratulations to all of you who passed P5 and are close to the end. It means you are great people with strong will and personality!
February 8, 2013 at 11:44 am #116106Got 76 % but not so happy given the comparison I made of what I wrote and what the answers are. Would like to try an administrative review and see, but does anyone have experience with reviews? Do they actually review the answers sheet or it is just a way to take 51 GBP?
January 23, 2013 at 10:43 am #114279The answers are out finally…. and I have a good feeling:

The amounts to be plotted were not easy without a graph paper so the administrator should have absolutely asked who needed one, at least this is what happened in the class I gave the exam. ( it was clearly stated “In the graph paper provided to you”)I think you will get more marks for the effort you put for drawing the graph in the answer sheet ?
December 5, 2012 at 1:09 pm #110099Please be kind and no more commenting on the questions because everytime I read something that I have forgotten or done differently I get upset and I believe it happens to all of you :(. And the worst thing is that I’m doubting even on things that I have done correctly too.

Aren’t the POA for the following tax year based on the tax liability of the previous year rather than the tax payable for the previous year? I did use the tax liability!”Anyway, I think it wasn’t too difficult and I could manage better the 3 hrs for F6 than for F5.
Good luck to all of you and see you in February , after the results come out :).

July 16, 2012 at 10:16 am #101885Hello there!
I used both texts to study ( BPP and Kaplan) and BPP for revision.
I found the revision kit of BPP very good and very different from the text book ,which is a bit too much detailed and hard. I would strongly suggest it.
Good luck with the exam.June 20, 2012 at 10:17 am #101293Hello there!
You are not the only one having concerns on question 10. From the comments I read, it was the most messy one not because of the fact that was too difficult, but as it was the last one and not enough time to think about it carefully because of the lack of time ( at least for me). It was not a familiar case, and every time you face something new you usually need more time to handle it.
I had more clear thoughts when going back home.
Still not sure about the answers, but iIthink that as long as the biggest customer had a huge loss, that will sure reflect on the company and, nowadays, if you loose the source of income and money you risk being insolvent. As per the CDDA, in case of insolvency, a disqualified director is responsible personally for the debts of the company and if in breach of a disqualification order he may be fined and/ or jailed too!
I may be wrong, I don’t know. I prepared a lot for this exam and I am afraid that because of this case study I will not achieve what I hoped for, however let’s hope for the best :).June 18, 2012 at 1:57 pm #101126Yes there was! A question on defenses in case of tort of negligence ( contributory and volenti non fit injuria).
June 6, 2012 at 7:08 am #97922It is my first exam too but what is internet for :).

May 10, 2012 at 9:43 am #97304Hi Mike,
I didn’t want to make a new question as people may think there’s something wrong with me 🙂 for asking that as it should be my last concern, but do grammatical errors have relevance in the points we get ( as far as you may be aware of course). I have read some of the examiner reviews and nothing mentioned about that. When I say grammatical errors I mean double l or “of” instead of “for”. I try doing my best but English is not my native language and it may happen.
And what if we say Hong Kong Fir Shipping v Kawasaki instead of the full case name or misspell the case name, is it relevant or we better not even mention if we are sure the name is not full or correct?Maybe it is a question you have answered before but I might have skipped it, so sorry for the inconvenience.
Thank you!
