Oh crap! I just logged in to ACCA portal, and it says I am member now!!!!!!!!
I think I will have a party this night!!!But well, I can confirm it took 1,5 weeks from submitting online application to get the membership status. (Paper certificate will take longer of couse.)
May 9, 2015 at 3:23 pm #244960I was too unimpatient to wait for the invitation email. I submitted application online on 28th April and then received confirmation of application competed on 30th April. In that email it said that my membership will be awarded in 12 working days upon the next committee meeting. I hope I get the final confirmation next week, waiting is horrible..

It is both unethical and illegeal.April 25, 2015 at 12:37 am #242527I cannot see any reason why it would not count.
April 1, 2015 at 4:11 am #239753Yes, you can get full ACCA qualification without attending any classes. Requirements are the same for everyone, and luckily no one asks you to pay a fortune to a tuition provider.
– Complete the ACCA Qualification examinations
– Complete 36 months of relevant supervised practical experience and achieve 13 performance objectives (9 Essentials and 4 Options) to the satisfaction of a workplace mentor
– Complete the Professional Ethics moduleFebruary 17, 2015 at 7:43 pm #228957@ruthmulondiwa Your mentor should receive them pretty much immediately. I submitted 4 objectives during weekend. Yesterday was bank holiday in US where my manager is based in, and he signed them off today. So he approved them on first working day after I submitted them.
February 15, 2015 at 2:36 pm #228446I do not quite understand all the complaining either. I have only taken P5 once, but I thought it was a fair paper and fair marking. The difficult thing in P5 is to answer in correct way, but we have some very good advice threads in OT forum. I am sure I answered a bit off topic in some questions in the exam, but for me the markings seems quite ok, and credit must have been given for sensible answers even if they were not exactly like the model answer.
February 11, 2015 at 7:03 am #227782Very difficult to say. I studied more for number papers, F6, F7, F9, P2 and P4. With F6 and F7 I was fairly confident when leaving the exam hall, but with F9, P2 and P4 I was sure I failed.
F8, P1, P3 and P5 I felt I did not study enough. They were difficult to study, as you cannot really just practice practice practice like you can with F6 or F7. I had no idea how would the results look like when leaving the exam hall after these “common sense bla bla bla”-papers as I call them. I could have scored anything between 35 and 60 marks, I thought. Only with P3 I had a feeling that I really did horrible. I spent the whole 3 hours writing, but I thought I had answered in a wrong way, or to a question that was not asked. I ended up getting my personal best score in P3, 78 marks.
So I would not say any paper to be easy. I spent less effort, but I was also not confident in passing. Maybe the most difficult ones were P2 and P4. Studying those felt very overhelming and depressing, I had a feeling that I am stupid and retarded and have no chance to ever pass them.
February 8, 2015 at 2:23 pm #226822I am affiliate now.
I got exemption from F1, but all the other papers I have studied with OpenTuition lectures and notes, plus BPP e-text and e-kit. I never really read the whole text book, but used it as supporting material if facing something really difficult in practice kit.I took 2 papers in each sittting, except once I sat 3 papers at a time. Every single paper I have passed on first attempt, and my marks have been between 53 (P2) and 78 (P3). I work full time and have 2 kids.
I would like to thank OT team for this amazing website, and encourage others to self study as well. There is really no need to pay the horrible tuition fees.
February 1, 2015 at 9:03 pm #224745@oluwamayomiwa Exam review is in the same place than always before.
In “exam status and report” there are three sections:
section 1: Exam results (with 3 subheadings; View your status report, ERS Status Notes and Print a Certificate)
section 2: Results correspondence
section 3: Administrative reviewFebruary 1, 2015 at 7:45 pm #224741@Abdul I have exactly the same in myACCA.
Also, now that I had to reset my password I realised I cannot update it in myACCA anymore. The “change your password” link does not get me anywhere.February 1, 2015 at 7:28 pm #224738@homemadethings3 I got the same. I tried many times enough to get blocked out totally. Then I reset my password and got the new one emailed to me. And with that new one, I can log into both normal myACCA and this whitegrey thing.
February 1, 2015 at 7:17 pm #224735I can log into white/grey now as well.
If I go to ‘update your contact and employment details”, I get to eBusiness site. In there, I can see my home address and my old old telephone number. I have changed this phone number in 2013 and got already Dec -13 results to my new phone number. So looks to me that it is not fully up to date..If I click “welcome”, there is a box to tick if I want to get my name included into passed finalists list. So unlike some other finalists, mine does not say I would have been included, just asks if I want to be included.. What do you think, if I tick and save the box, will they pass me then..? 😀
January 30, 2015 at 5:30 am #224346My colleague is sitting CIMA exams, and sometimes I really wonder why an earth am I not doing CIMA as well. She had her exams 2 weeks before me. She got results 1 month after exams. She passed one and failed one. Now she will have the repeat sitting next week, and with CIMA new computer based exams, she will receive her results immediately.
So basically, even if you fail CIMA, you can resit and catch up in so short time ACCA cannot even get the results out. How nice and effective is that..? No need to sit 2 months waiting and doing nothing, and then have the option to resit only in half year. If I wasn’t in my finals, I would very seriously consider changing from ACCA to CIMA. I personally appreciate ACCA qualification more than CIMA, but at the end of the day, the employers are mostly happy if you just have your qualification, no matter who is the issuing body.
January 28, 2015 at 9:35 am #224098Keith, I do agree, but still cannot help checking myacca and The Link.
Oh, it would be horrible to see in the link being member and then getting “FAIL” sms on 8th..
January 28, 2015 at 9:29 am #224095It is with _underscores_ 😀
January 28, 2015 at 9:11 am #224086January 28, 2015 at 9:00 am #224081Do I have wrong link?
I have no details in the profile there, email or anything else. Just name, reg number and status (still student). And MyACCA perfectly normal.
January 27, 2015 at 1:10 pm #223948We need someone to see ‘pass’ in there, and then we can assume it is working 😀 Till that, we don’t know if it is updating or not.
January 27, 2015 at 9:37 am #223917There is a rumor that the link has now been taken out of use. You can still open it, but the data is not updating in real time anymore like it used to do in past.
The magic in the link only worked for finalists. It opened your ACCA profile, and you were able to see your ACCA status group. If you failed your finals, you were in group “ACCA students”, and if you passed, you were in group “ACCA members”.

Can anybody who has done the ethics module confirm this???I can confirm. You can print out “Advanced Diploma in Accounting
and Business”, once you have completed F1-F9 and ethics module.I still have my certificate option in there and I can print it out. Finalist too and I know I failed. Maybe they took certificate option off from those who passed..?
January 26, 2015 at 8:42 am #223746I have always received my results via sms, and it always comes through immediately after midnight.
If you want to get your results via sms, check that your country code is correct in ACCA contacting details.
January 15, 2015 at 6:57 am #222678I’m not nervious, but it’s not because exams were not tough. It’s more the opposite; there is no need to loose sleep as I know I get something between 25-35 marks from each P4 and P5.
December 2, 2014 at 5:06 pm #216139I was just laughing all the way home after exam. I spent every single minute available, and I still won’t score even 10 marks in total. How ridiculous waste of time and money was it to go there in the first place 😀
Well, no I know to practice more.
I hope you guys did well, I’ll nail it in June.November 23, 2014 at 2:54 pm #212431No, once you have completed qualification, no one will be able to say how good/bad marks you got.
The only thing is that, if you want to do OBU BSc with your ACCA, your exam results will affect the grading of your BSc.
