    Guys, I am also so devastated with a 49% fail. I do not know how I can start revision. up to now i am still confuse whether to register for Dec session or not. Extremely frustrated because i knew I had passed this paper. Being my forth attempt. Those who passed can you advise.
    Feeling very bad and thinking of just abandoning the whole thing.

    My workings:
    G= br
    >> Roi=15%*70%=105 ie 10.5%
    therefore g= 10.5%

    cost of eqty=25%

    Po= do(1+g)/r-g
    =50(1+105)/0.25-0.105
    = 55.25/0.145=381.034

    therefore mv= $3.81 per share

    Sir Mike
    Good morning,
    Bpp workings.

    Total loan= $15+$24= 39.
    therefore… (9%x15/39)+(11%x24/39)=10.5%
    SO, 10.5%X$6000,000X9/12=47250
    10.5%X2000,000 X 5/12=8750

    = 47250+8750=$560,000

    Thank for your working. leaning a new approach.

    Hi Sir Mike,
    I also got problems with this question. I worked out the question and got $50,000.as the charge to go thru P/l and normally $40,000 will go thru the revaluation reserves, if asked. but Bpp has netted off the depreciation charge against the revaluation and charge $10,000 to P/L. kindly explain to me the logic in this.
    thanks

    unfortunately I have but Naires and in my part of the world anything you send by post would be removed in the post office. joking

    sir,
    this question in the mock test>
    Anda has correctly calculated the earnings per share(EPS) for the current year yearv ended 30 September but is confused about how to reinstate last year disclosed eps.
    On 1 January 2014, there has been a 1 for 7 bonus issue and on 1 June 2014 there has been a 3 for 2 right issue with an exercise price of $2, mid-market price on 31 may 2014 was $7 and Anda’s corporation income tax is 25%.
    Q. By what fraction should last year disclosed EPS be multiplied?

    Thanks,
    Am struggling to cope with EPS.

    Ok. Thanks

    I wish to know, if your workings are correct, but due to time pressure, you transfer the wrong figure into your final answer, will the marker award you marks based on your workings or on the final figure you put in your answer sheet. that is for questions in section b.assuming you did correct referencing.

    Sir.
    one more thing,
    If the directors are happy about the commercial viability, but development is still ongoing, can we still capitalized by the end of the reporting period?

    Congratulations to all who made it. I failed F7 with 43% for the third time. i am deeply frustrated and wondering what to do next. age is not on my side and more so the country I live in ACCA is not well recognized. Thinking of just quiting the whole ACCA thing. needs some one to motivate me. How ever I say thank you to opentution. comparing my marks now to 37 % I got when I wrote F7 in June 2013 without using opentuition I think that opentuition has played a big part in improving my marks.
