Did anyone get the question on further processing in section C? It was about some products monkey plus and another one I don’t remember the name exactly.
The examiner asked to calculate OPP, but there was no constraint. Furthermore, I thought the question had a pricing element but there was no change in demand or price just some loss after further processing which would decrease the selling price of some units. I just went with further processing advised him and prepared P and L statement not sure if I’ve done the right thing.
September 16, 2020 at 4:22 pm #585853I read the Veggie pot question thrice and couldnt find any information on how many units were in a batch. Hope it was missing some information, so we can get those marks.
September 16, 2020 at 4:17 pm #585851exactly! I couldn’t even calculate the target cost which I thought would be the easiest thing to do in the exam, but the other 4 requirements were fine.
The batch details were given but were not mentioned anywhere about how many units were in a batch. I went through the question thrice I didn’t find anything moved on from there.Hopefully, will make it through. overall exam was fine but section C was tough.

August 10, 2020 at 9:36 am #579798It Is not a past paper question; this question is made up by kaplan to which you said in one of earlier forums “its not a very good question”.
Anyway, If basis of apportionment for Fixed costs are not specified and multiple apportionment basis can be chosen. What basis would be more appropriate is there any tip on this? For instance question has (lab hrs and units both given).
I hope I make sense.Thanks in advance.

December 5, 2019 at 9:23 pm #555212I got the same question.
It was a mid year acquisition, i reckon it was october. we were given total profits for that year which we had to multiply with the parent’s acquiring percentage, and subtract that amount from the retained earnings at the reporting date.
