Customer OperationsApril 20, 2017 at 12:25 pm #382832If u still apply the 1.8 min per mark to doing section B first, it will be better of. Especially if Q1 has a long scenario with so many requirements like that of Dec 2016. i got 49 in that very exam.
April 20, 2017 at 11:12 am #382819The grey and white test didnt work in my own case, as when i tried to log on my acca 7hours before result release, it gave me an error. However p7 passed at 57% now an affiliate. @ Stell and co. The best way to pass p7 is to study the common accounting standard very well and then start with section B first to secure some quick and easy marks. if you attempt to finish section A first, it will consume much of your precious exam time depriving you of properly nailing section B. I wish you all the best in your next attempt.
January 31, 2017 at 4:20 pm #370397With due respect Mr. Mike, I cannot argue further on this matter with such an expert like you, For example its just last week, I knew that Examiners Article is published after every exam and I have quickly read it. Moreso, I have been taking this paper with other papers in previous attempts, concentrating more on the other papers to the disadvantage of p7, except the last sitting which I used 8 Weeks preparation to write alone. However, I will definately review my exam techniques, and improve as necessary. Thanks
January 31, 2017 at 2:27 pm #370372Noted, Thanks Mr Mike. However, the time pressure effect varies base on ones preparedness. I am sure, you will agree with me that no 2 p7 papers will have exactly the same level of time pressure. All those who wrote the december exam are a testimony to this.
January 31, 2017 at 1:46 pm #370366@Imtiaz, I am having similar case with you, my marks were 38,46 and 49. I believed if not that, the december exam was so time pressured, we could have cleared it. Anyway, as Mike has adviced, we need to do a little more in March to make p7 a thing of the past.
December 7, 2016 at 1:20 pm #354992The p7 was not difficult at all, but it was hard. The duration was not fair at all, especially for the Question 1. I cannot just agree that, anybody can finish the Q1 within 63 minutes. That alone can cause students to panic in the exam.
Going forward I think it will be a wise decision to leave Q1 till the end, rather than starting with it.
Nevertheless, may Allah bless what we were able to put down, aminMay 9, 2015 at 5:44 pm #244994there are some topics that are only specific to each paper like audit procedure, test of controls and substantive for f8, while p1 we have thinks like the risk, ethics in deep , make adequte preparation for them.
