Alhamdulillah!!! Passed with 51%. First attempt. And left 17 marks completely BLANK in the paper!!! Anything is possible with prayers!
Its alright I used the wrong discount rate but hopefully we’ll get good working marks… i think (hoping the tax claim was where the main marks were)?
Interest for lease payments was 8.75%, tax 30% and reducing balance depreciation was 25%. They were the only rates in the whole question. I wasnt sure so I just assumed disc rate of 10% lol?!
Haha same here! There was no discount rate though in the Grout Co question?? Thats the first ive seen without a discount rate?
Hi I got the NPV lease/buy question too but there was no discount rate? What did you use as the discount rate?
Such an unfair exam. Tested on very small areas of the syllabus. Totally did not expect a section C full CVP question and the EHT hospitals question on values. 40 marks on them???? crazy! The core areas of the course such as relevant costing, transfer pricing, learning curve, pricing were not even tested at all, gutted as I spent a lot of time getting my head around those and skimmed over the theory, enough to answer MCQ’s on them. I sat the CBE afternoon exam. Was my first attempt and first acca exam and will be amazed if I’ve passed, will defo be a narrow one if I have.
