Anyone else find question 1 required a lot more time than the later questions? So much to write in part 1a)i). Fair paper though.

    This is possible.

I work 5 days a week and self-studied P3 in the September sitting. Started revision in August and got 70%.

    – Watch EVERY OT tuition and revision letter, they are brilliant.
    – Ideally purchase a revision kit from a training provider eg. Kaplan (I also purchased the complete text for tuition).
    – Work through past exams and also read Examiner’s notes for each one. Gives you a real insight into what they’re after and you find the common mistakes are the same in every exam.
    – I also used YouTube and watched every single P3 related lecture on there. These are also helpful.
    – Look out for new technical articles on the website. There’s a chance these will be questioned in the exam.

This paper is one of the most enjoyable (if that’s possible). You can apply the models to any modern day business and think how they could improve. This can help when learning a theory.

One final thing to remember going into the exam, APPLICATION is key, this is not a purely knowledge based exam. APPLY the model, do not describe it.

    Good luck!

Integrated Reporting. However as there is so much scope for it, Q4 is hard to predict.

    Hi,

Our tutor seems to think that it may be SPL this year. Revision was mostly geared towards this.

These are far from guaranteed so I’ve obviously been keeping my SFP and Cash Flow revision ticking over.

Just the usual as in time management. Don’t get too bogged down with Q1. If you’re stuck on a point, move on. It’s much more beneficial moving ahead and gaining easy marks on later questions.

One point they stress on Q2 & Q3 is setting the scene before application to the scenario. There is sometimes 3 marks available for this. State the rule, then apply the rule. Do not dive in to answering the question.

Keep up to date with technical articles. Q4 could be on the back of one of these.

I study at Kaplan and am going for P2 this sitting. All the best.

Mine was also amended and I took my exam in Nottingham. Reason for the increases apparently was due to how cold the hall was and the noise level at the centre that week.
