Hey guys, any sort of reply appreciated
for q1 I wrote so much. A page of calcs explaining and a page of info. Just hope it’s enough.

Didn’t like q2= think I got the theory but ok though

Q3 the factor. I said that they would be losing 33% of their income with costs from factor and that if they focused on negotiation with customers stating they need to talk credit days. Talked about the need for business to get receivables days down from 60 to 40.

Question 4 – honestly didn’t mind this question.the only thing I didn’t do was compare both situations. (I calculated the share rights issue and the calcs but didn’t compare to not)
However I used a lot of expinaitiom (1page to explain. Capital structure. Talked traditional view, Miller and modigliani etc)

Hated Q5. Calcs are completely wrong. Lots of theory again. With the mcqs being a joke (imo) and this being a resist I just HOPE I pass. Honestly. Head is fried.

Any sort of reply etc would be cool
    Thanks
    Michael

For the exam I sat Q1/2/3/4.
Q1 – found standards hard but made 12/13 subsections on risks in regards to the audit. I watched a video at the weekend stating the examiner wanted application to the case study , application to the company.

I mentioned that the company is a gaming company. Lots of shift to the digital side, so no physical copies. Could make the audit more riskier. May not be able to recognise properly.

Talkked about company being recently IPO. How expensive this is. Risk that company will have much more costs and paperwork may not be able to afford audit

Some general points in relation to the audit
    Risk of
    timing
    staff experience
do we audit a competitor in the market

Also mentioned the licencing. Stated there was a five year period on the case study. No mention of when it was up as it was a significant income. I discussed this

Talked about the investments. Stated that it is understandable within the market they are in (New technology) but must be seen properly. Risk is the accounts are not properly stated and the audit may not be done fully correctly.

Mentioned about 5/6 other sub headings but I used standards throughout the paper and just panicked a bit on Q1 (first time doing p7.) Still, done 3/4.pages on 1A+B. Thought 2/3/4 was ok if I’m being honest just want the 50%!

I suggested in that instance to double the cost per call. covered the cost of moving back.
With a country low unemployment, moving back = good media interest, corporate image.

Here is my layout to Section A of todays exam. Really put a lot of effort into it, would appreciate replies.

    Section A
    Introduction
    Boston Box Analysis
    Financial Analysis
For the future strategy, I used Harmon.
Case study stated they were going to use the machinery at the rail company at the airport.
COnculsion, divest or outsource rail company, and proceed with caution with airline purchase, however talk to shareholders, try to improve ROCE and receivables days.

I used Harmon because i thought it was a good one to use. backed it up as well.
