The Council meeting was held on 30th November, but there were issues with the printing of certificates. They have guarenteed I will have the certificate within the next 3 weeks.
November 3, 2017 at 9:15 am #414189I applied for membership on the 26th October. My status showed as ‘Affiliate’ up until this morning. When I logged in a couple of hours ago it was updated to ‘Graduate Pending Member’. I have just logged in again and it has now been updated again to ‘Member’.

After logging in via https://www.acca-business.org/pls/ecommerce/elopl001.p_login , there is a part that says “For information on examination results click here.” When you click on it, where does it lead you to?I can’t see that it says this anywhere.
October 12, 2017 at 2:10 pm #410560I’m in the UK. Took P5 in September, my final exam.
Prior to today I could not access the ‘link theory’ as I was getting the error message. I can now log in and see all my details on the white screen.
Earlier in the week, the e-business link email contact was showing student@. This has now changed to member@.
That said, I am not getting excited;
1. I felt that I had definitely failed the exam. I didn’t answer at least 25% of the marks.
2. The email address on the e-business link has changed to member@, yet I have not completed any of the PER stuff, so surely this should be affiliate@ had I passed.Don’t lose hope people.

But they asked for the effect of rights issue? What you wrote was general. I talked about 3 possibilities: when shareholders take the rights, when they sell the rights and when they do nothingI said I didn’t do great with this question, but just had a stab at what I thought might get some marks.
June 5, 2015 at 7:38 pm #254154That’s a bit reassuring Jenny. I also calculated that we could buy back 100,000 bonds @ 109.20?
For the second part of the question I spoke about traditional theory and M&M. I mentioned about the tax shield effect when paying interest as opposed to dividends which are not tax deductable. I concluded that paying off the debt will probably not acheive the aim of optimising the WACC as the debt is cheaper?
June 5, 2015 at 7:21 pm #254135I completely messed up Q4. Did a few calculations which I’m hoping might pick up a mark or two. I calculated a TERP, was that neccessary? worked out a P/E ratio, was that neccessary? not a clue.
June 5, 2015 at 7:05 pm #254106but isn’t Jenny saying that the revision kit asks you to do it on the receivables balance? whereas the exam didn’t?
June 5, 2015 at 7:02 pm #254101to get the factors advace charges I did the following;
26,500 @ 80% = 21,200
21,200 @ 2% = 424kJune 5, 2015 at 6:49 pm #254078for the 5% saving on recievables balance I thin I got around 92k
June 5, 2015 at 6:47 pm #254072something about treasury bill being bought and sold a discount?
June 5, 2015 at 6:38 pm #254045I said no, could have good performance but share option required even better performance?
June 5, 2015 at 6:35 pm #254038I did the same as Jenny with the advance, and I think my total net cost was around £300k ish, so not viable option
June 5, 2015 at 6:30 pm #254020can’t remember the question exaclty but the net present value once was false, expected values occur when over time, not on one off projects
June 5, 2015 at 6:26 pm #254008just my way of seeing it clearly. you could do 1.415 * 1.02 / 1.018
June 5, 2015 at 6:22 pm #254000$1,000 @ 1.415 x 1.02 (2%) = $1,443.3
$1,000 x 1.018 (1.8%) = $1,018June 5, 2015 at 6:18 pm #253993Yes, think I got 1.418. 1443.3 / 1018 ?
