February 14, 2020 at 3:23 am #561749Ok Sir. So I should just save my money and use the revision kit that i already have which is for upto 31 August 2019 exams then..
November 18, 2016 at 9:07 am #349772Solved it sir, Thanks. I’m having another confusion, in chapter 7 example 6, it says goodwill attributable to the nci was 5000$. Why does the calculation of goodwill in that example vary from the printed answer for the calculation of goodwill impairment in the mini exercise question 2 part(c)? Which way should we do it when he says g/will attributable to nci was $x amount? Thanks
October 18, 2016 at 9:55 am #344601Sir, I want to prepare for F7 for december sitting. Can I use your video lectures/notes for the Dec 16 sitting? Are they up-to date or is something missing/needs updating?
June 15, 2016 at 8:05 am #322994Any idea when the lecture of Zita might be uploaded? I mean will it be uploaded before the Sept 16 exam session? Thx a lot Sir 🙂
June 13, 2016 at 3:41 pm #322754Hello Sir, I see that the notes for the F7 paper has been updated for the Sept/Dec 2016 exam sessions. How about the video lectures? Any of the needs to be updated? Will you update/upload new video lectures for the Sept/Dec 2016 session? Thank you.
June 13, 2016 at 2:55 pm #322749Hello sir,
The notes has been updated for Sept 2016 exam as I see. Also the lecture video for chapter 5 has also been updated accordingly? Thanks
April 20, 2016 at 1:09 pm #311893Hello, till when will the current F6 lecture notes and videos be valid? Up to which exam session? Thanks
August 10, 2014 at 12:07 pm #189154Passed F5 – 50%, pretty happy although I failed in F7 41 %. But I won’t beat myself over for it. Instead I’ll work harder and clear it in dec sitting 😀
June 4, 2014 at 6:13 pm #173881Expecting for Resit as well 🙁 Was expecting CSoFP, and Cash Flows 🙁
February 21, 2014 at 9:54 pm #159756@Aleem, my status for the OBU on myacca states I’m already opted into. My only worry is if I pass F7-F9 before passing F9, then I’ll no longer be eligible for the degree.
February 21, 2014 at 9:50 pm #159755Hi Anna, once again thank you very much for being so helpful to me. I’ve just checked your website and from the list:
9. A pass in either A Level or at least 2 passes at GCE O Level in subjects which require a good comprehension of English, e.g. British Constitution; British Government; Communication Studies; Law; Economics; General Studies; History; Philosophy;
Psychology; Religious Studies; Sociology; Pakistan Studies; Islamic Studies / Islamiyat; Business Studies—I have studied Economics at O-Level and got a credit and at A-Level as subsidiary though but got an e which I think is a pass. Some of my other subjects at O-Level were Accounting, Computer Studies and Addmaths. I also got a credit in English Language at O-Level.
15. University of Cambridge Local Examinations Syndicate – General paper (O or A)
—-As for that one, does it mean Cambridge Exams at A-Level and O-Level? If yes, then I got an a in General Paper at A-Level and credit in english language at O-Level.
So do you think I’ll be eligible even if I pass F7-F9 paper first before passing paper F4?
Thanks and btw if ever I’m eligible for the degree, you’ll definitely be my mentor 😀
February 20, 2014 at 12:11 pm #159540February 20, 2014 at 6:57 am #159490But it says and I quote from ACCA website:
“be registered with Oxford Brookes University ie have opted in to the BSc degree scheme and hold a suitable English language qualification before passing any of the three ACCA Fundamentals papers, F7, F8 and F9”
I’m already opted in but as for the suitable english language qualification(which would be F4), needs to be done before F7=F9 even though I’m already opted into the degree?
And thank you for your prompt reply. Really nice of you 🙂
February 19, 2014 at 5:02 pm #159447Hi Anna, I have a question:
I already am opted in the OBU Degree(opted in when I registered with ACCA). I completed my F1-F3 papers. Now I’m doing F5, F7 and F9 for the June 2014 sittings. I’ll do F4, F6 and F9 for Dec 2014 sittings. In 2015, will I still be able to do the OBU degree given that I’m already opted in but actually pass F7 and F9 before passing F4?
Thanks
February 19, 2014 at 4:48 pm #159442Sir, it’s me again 😛
I was scared for a moment. Here’s what I found from Kaplan’s Website:
How to Apply
To be eligible to be awarded the BSc (Hons) in Applied Accounting you must:
be registered with Oxford Brookes University (i.e. you must have opted-in to the BSc degree scheme before passing any of the three ACCA Fundamentals papers, F7, F8 and F9);
pass the three ACCA Fundamentals papers F7, F8 and F9 and pass other papers as required to successfully complete all nine Fundamentals level papers;
complete the ACCA Professional Ethics module according to the Research and Analysis Project submission dates; and
complete and pass the Oxford Brookes University Research and Analysis Project.So, if I’m already opted in, then I can pass my F7-F9 first, then do F4?
February 19, 2014 at 4:31 pm #159441Sir, I’m opted into the OBU Bsc degree(opted in when I registered with ACCA). Already did F1-F3, currently doing F5, F7 and F9 for June 2014 exams. For Dec 2014 exams, I’ll do F4, F6 and F8, I hope I can still do the OBU Degree?
February 13, 2014 at 5:51 pm #158621I completely agree with Mr Mike. Someone who is doing ACCA should be ethical and not try to get pirated stuffs. Think of the authors/contributors of the book, they need to get paid for their hard work. You definitely should expect to receive an answer like that when you post this kind of question.
February 13, 2014 at 9:44 am #158532Using Nexus 7 here and dolphin browser….can watch lectures with no problem at all 🙂
February 9, 2014 at 8:50 am #157171Indeed, you’re a true genius attempting 4 papers at once. So congratz 🙂 May I ask if you were using only opentuition + BPP study text and kit or were attending classes as well?
Thx 🙂
December 29, 2013 at 4:51 pm #153579It was recently asked and answered here mate, have a look for yourself:

December 27, 2013 at 9:06 am #153503For those who self study, how do you plan it? I’ll be taking 3 papers F5, F7 and F9 for June 2014 sitting.
I’m going to self study with BPP book and kit and OT Notes + lectures. How do you guys do it?Like watch lectures and read notes first, then read book and work past papers or read book first, then watch lectures and work past papers…?? Would be nice to have an idea of what most students do 🙂
December 27, 2013 at 7:56 am #153501Yes the book used for Dec 2013 can be used for June 2014 sittings. I’ve myself bought 3 books from BPP and on all of them are written For exams up to June 2014. ACCA’s current syllabus is from June 2013 to June 2014, Hope this helps 🙂
December 26, 2013 at 8:25 am #153462I am self studying and was planning to take F6 for June 2014 Exams as if ever I was unlucky, I could re sit for it in Dec 2014 exams but given that the lectures won’t be up until march(which will leave me with only 2-3 months for preparation), I’m thinking of taking another paper.
I’ll then take the F6 exam for dec 2014 session as when I start preparing in july for december exams, all the notes and lectures for F6 would be suitable. But I’m afraid that if I screw up in the dec 2014 exams for F6, how much will I have to re learn for the June 2015 exams?
Any advice plz? 🙂
Thanks.
December 25, 2013 at 8:14 pm #153458When will the OT notes and lectures get updated for paper F5 for june 2014 exams? I see that the BPP book for 2014 exam sessions are already available.
@loloacca, mate what do you mean by tax rule changing? Will the OT video lectures need to be redone or something? Or we can use the current ones and just adapt it to the FA 2013 rules?Thanks 😀
