Passed first time with a B grade! Very happy with the result considering it had been over 10 years since university first time around.
A huge thank you to Gillian Moorse (Absolute Mentoring). Very professional and friendly, couldn’t have done it without her help with what was a daunting task in a challenging year.
I would highly recommend Gillian for anyone starting out on their OBU RAP journey.

March 23, 2021 at 12:37 pm #615034Good luck to everyone.
First attempt for me, obviously hoping for the best.
I think the only email I received was confirmation of payment
January 13, 2020 at 7:41 am #558192Finally passed with 53%, fifth attempt.
Previous results were all around 46-49%.It’s only exam I’ve failed so far, it was a bit of a stumbling block for me, but got there in the end.
January 12, 2020 at 10:46 pm #557947My understanding is that the 10 year rule is no more.
The only time limit is now the 7 years from first pass of a professional paper.October 14, 2019 at 12:53 pm #549440I failed with 47, this was my 4th attempt having previously got 46,47 & 49.
I found September exam one of the easiest, I finished with 5 mins to go, felt I’d done everything which is asked.
I can only put it down to needing even more exam practice leading up to the exam. I’m going to pay to take a few mocks and have them marked and returned this time.
I genuinely have no idea where I’m falling short
September 2, 2019 at 7:49 pm #544238@donmarko, I don’t think everyone gets the same questions.
It was ok for me. Had 10 mins left to check, 4th attempt after 49’s and 47’s in previous sittings.
Fingers crossed.July 15, 2019 at 12:09 am #52320046….

What was the answer of the letter of representation? on date of audit report being issued or the day audit work was completed??I think I put the same date as the financial statements were issued, 30th October.
Not sure if that’s correct or not.April 15, 2019 at 12:21 am #51246749 on my third sitting.
I was convinced I had done well this time too. Answered every question even 5 mins checking.
Something obviously isn’t going right.January 15, 2019 at 7:45 pm #502136A room full of people frantically typing is extremely distracting I have to say
December 4, 2018 at 7:08 am #487109This was my first CBE and found the sound of typing very off putting at times in particular whilst reading through a scenario. I had to re-read a scenario 3 times due to the volume of typing by the person next to me.
Not a fan! Absolutely fine for multiple choice questions but not for written.July 2, 2014 at 2:14 pm #178040Thanks for clearing that up John

you are right because the rate given was Euro borrowing rate… i just wrote that the dollars needed deposited will earn interest uptill 3 months.. just wrote a commentOthers have said there was a $ deposit rate of 4% for once you had converted your borrowed Euros, however I only remember seeing the 9% Euro borrowing rate.
Anyone else able to clarify what information was provided? I know it’ll only be 1 lost mark if there was a depositing rate of interest stated, just for peace of mind.June 9, 2013 at 1:18 am #130811 @sanjayk said:
There were 2 rates. The deposit would earn interest that needed adding on to the final figure. And the other rate you would b charged interest on. I wouldn’t worry to much. I didn’t get it first time out hopefully have passed this time around. Did anyone else get 11.25% for Wacc. Easy exam u thought. When will the answers be up. Which options did everyone say we’re worthwhile in the last valuation q? Also measurement I wouldn’t worry you prob only lost 1 mark : )Thanks for your help Sanjay K, much appreciated. It’s my 5th attempt taking this exam so I need as many of those ‘just 1 mark’s as I can! Allah may help me!
June 9, 2013 at 12:35 am #130807For Q3 exchange rate, once the borrowed Euros (€489,000 approx) had been converted to $ using the spot rate, did the question state a $ deposit rate in order to earn interest? I don’t remember seeing one.
Could someone please clarify this, I’m very nervous, think I may have failed, gutted!!!! - AuthorPosts
