Hi,
I don’t even know if anyone will reply on this forum anymore. But I’ll give it a try. Last year I got accepted at LSBF and got told that in order to secure my space I had to pay a deposit of I £3000. This was especially required for overseas students.
Later something came up and I decided to decline the offer. They refused to give me a refund and they told me that I was no longer available to study the course. I could either do it online or apply at another campus . If I wanted to I could apply again next year for the same course. I still didn’t want to study at LSBF and applied for a full refund. The application was not accepted. My GP had provided me with necessary medical documents which I attached in the application.
It took ages for LSBF to get back to me. I tried to contact them with no luck. Later my contact person at LSFB got back to me after I had submitted a complaints form to the university with all the necessary documents, included the emails from LSBF.
The application was refused. My contact person told me to submit all the required documents one more time, but this time through a link which he sent me. The link didn’t work! I contacted him about this, but again with no luck!
About a month later he got back to me saying that my application had been refused.I spoke to a lawyer in my country (Norway) about this. He told me to find similar cases and contact people who are in the same situation and see what they have done. I was also told to find any organizations that give advice and guidance to students. I really need some help! I need to get the £3000 back!
This is absolutely ridiculous. How is this even legal?
