now with digital marking of the exams.. it is strange that ACCA does not return marked exams to students.. BUT this is another different subject.

Mate.. not everyone can afford buying revision kit. every year..
maybe to you 20 pounds is not much,.. for some students in other countries it maybe is a lot..

Questions have to be written 2 (or 4 now) times anyway..
and students sitting the exams paid for them.. ACCA examiners are not writing questions because of charity.. this is their job

so effectively,, since students paid for them.. they belong to students.

ACCA does not publish a list of approved calculators (the make name etc)

what they do publish is general rule:

You are not permitted to use a dictionary or an electronic translator of any kind or have on or at your desk a calculator which can store or display text.

I am puzzled.. how the tutor is supposed to advise you..

the whole purpose of optional papers is to choose an exam which should be closely related to your future career or interest… No??

if you are just interested in which exam is easier to pass – check the syllabus / past exams and the pass rates.. 🙂

it is not so much the syllabus, but tax rules that change every year.

So all textbooks/kits are valid for 1 year only..

All 2014 materials are based on Financial Act 2013 (so look for FA 2013 on the cover)
