I won’t be staying up for the results, already know I failed and will be resitting in March.

I work for a small company too but the problem is that the managers themselves don’t know anything about accounting and l don’t have the support to do my job.
I am struggling to get the information to do my job and when I ask, they don’t want to help and expect me to magically produce the Accounts. I have already spoken to the owners of the business about my concerns but nothing is changing. I have decided to leave and look for another job as this probably wasn’t meant to be.@hzfd said:

Thanks for your advice. I have decided to stick with P5 and polish up my exam technique. Will try and do more question practice under timed conditions. I already passed P7 and P6 syllabus is too long so would rather stick with P5.

I didn’t have enough time to go through the revision book twice or even practice mock questions under exam conditions because of my new job and having to do my mummy duties after work, felt so tired to study after work.
As for the exam I overan my time on question 1 and left a big chunk of marks, it was a mess I didn’t write enough to pass so sadly it’s another resit for me feel so discouraged but will get back to the books.Didn’t have the strength to post anything on the P5 forum as I was so disappointed with myself.

I didn’t do well with my P5 paper and expecting another resit which is so hard for me. Have been under a lot of stress and just started a new job and couldn’t concentrate when I set my exam. I am really discouraged, being a mum and struggling to balance work and the family, I just feel so broken. I will continue revising and hope for the best in March. How do you stay motivated?

I self studied on all occasions but really struggling with how to answer the questions well.
Got 27%, 45% and 30%.
I can’t afford to attend the face to face lectures and this is really discouraging me.I passed f9 after two attempts so I honestly don’t know what to do now.

I also failed with 45 and I think it’s all down to exam technique. Here’s what I’ve been advised
Go through opentuition lectures all of them
Read all technical articles
Go through any revision kit I will be using Kaplan at least twice, before reading answers, try to note important answers in bullet form.
Practice the last 5 past exam questions on the Acca website under exam conditions if you can
Hopefully this will help us both get through this paper next time.

Yemibabs – Give it a few days to rest then get back on it and start revising again. This was my 3rd attempt and i onyl just passed, which i am very surprised about (i thought i would be up in the 60+ range with the amount i wrote and valid points) I didnt feel i done anythig different this time round, i always use tht PEA method (Point, Explain, Apply) to get the marks. Just must have been lucky this time.The “Theory of the Login” has been around for a while – if you go to the countdown threads, if it was your last exam, people found out a way to see if you had passed or not by using 2 old login screens to MyAcca, prior to results being released. If you had passed and were affiliate then it would shoud “contact members@acca.com” and the other login would show details – this would mean you had passed
If you logged in and it stated contact “students@acca.com” and the the other login shows and error screen then you were still classed as a student and had failed.
I was under the category of the error screen and still showing student@acca.com and i passed – proving that theold login theory doesnt work and shouldnt be used to determine a pass/fail.Congrats, so did you see students@ on the welcome page or under general details tab as I still had students@ and failed?

Failed again for the 2nd time, the theories didn’t work for me so they are correct. I am disappointed, resit here I come!

Aww thank you so much for your kindness. Will be praying for us all and hoping we all get good results and if we don’t, I pray for strength to help us carry on this journey till we make it! It’s been great chatting with you guys you have actually helped cheer me up a bit. Have been so depressed for the past two days as I have been processing having failed due to the theories.
