I know this feeling all to well, I got 49 back in the June sitting. Keep going you will do this. I have now passed this paper on my 5th attempt and am now an affiliate.
April 20, 2017 at 8:19 am #382791This to was my last exam and I failed again (3rd time!) with 46.
I have always found the audit papers tricky and there’s a certain technique to it. I have booked onto the question day with Kaplan so fingers crossed that helps!August 25, 2015 at 10:51 am #268460I am doing my exam in London South east and mine is at Lindley Hall near London Victoria.
August 24, 2015 at 1:35 pm #268346Hi
I would say that your salary is below what I would expect especially for London, however I have no knowledge of the type of role you are doing.
Maybe have a look on job websites and compare your job role with others that are similar and in a similar area, this could then give you a talking point to your boss with your salary review.
Good Luck.
November 29, 2014 at 6:20 pm #214491Sorry I meant the cubed root button on my calculator!
November 29, 2014 at 6:19 pm #214489Thank you. I understand how the calculation works I just can’t not figure out where the cubed root button is on my phone. Have tried googling but I’m still not getting the correct answer.
February 20, 2014 at 4:07 pm #159586I sat F7,F8 and F9 in Dec 13 and only passed F8. F9 is quote a complex module so i would probably do F5 with the other 2.
February 20, 2014 at 4:02 pm #159584I have a £2000 budget per year from my employers that i can use for Exams, Taught Courses and Revision Courses etc. The only thing they wont pay for is any resits.
February 20, 2014 at 3:56 pm #159581This is definately an interesting debate.
I dont feel that there should be a limit. As someone who has passed all my exams so far first time with the major exception of F8 (passed on my 8th go!) i would now not be able to continue.
I personally think that if like me people are struggling with just 1 paper they will keep at it till they pass or give up (lets face it theres alot of people that after 7 attempts would have gone running for the hill) This in itself will weed out the people that are not meant to continue on the ACCA.
There are also reasons why people may fail (2 of my F8 papers were done when i had glandular fever and the other the day after being made redundant) These may not be taken into consideration when asking for a resit (certainly didnt help me when i wrote about my circumstances and still failed both attempts by 2 marks)
All in all, if people want to continue and pay out the money (as most companies wont pay for resits) then i say good on them for having the determination and faith in themselves to do it.
February 8, 2014 at 11:25 am #156791Failed with 37%. Roll on June 🙂
February 8, 2014 at 11:22 am #156788Failed 33%, and not surprised in the least.
Roll on June. I will pass next time.
February 8, 2014 at 11:20 am #156786After losing count of how many times I have taken this paper have finally passed with 57%.
For those that keep failing, this was 7th (?) take on this paper, read the examiners report and the articles on this paper, it is all about using the right audit words, particularly on the 1st question
August 2, 2013 at 2:41 pm #134737F7 – 30%
F8 – 52%I know F7 is a fail but im praying i have at least passed F8!
April 16, 2013 at 10:36 am #122628I personally think the BPP text goes into to much detail and not enough practice.
Use the notes and videos on here and then just concentrate on past papers.
Good Luck.
February 11, 2013 at 2:30 pm #1173474th Attempt and another fail (47%. Although i was made redundant the day before my exams started so that may have had something to do with it.)
This seems to be a really hard paper to pass when it seems a very straightforward topic. I dont think its the topic thats hard but knowing what the examiners are after in the answers.
Have done all exams so far as home study but for this i WILL be going on a revision course……5th Time lucky! - AuthorPosts
