    Hi Irwin,
    I just got the result of my RAP, I passed!
    It’s grade c but I feel so relieved! Without your help I wouldn’t be able to make this happen in my first attemp.

    Thank you again!

    I guess I just can’t wait till September to show my appreciation to the Learning Luminarium!
    Living in North America, with a handful of ACCA peers, most of the journey I was by myself. So when I started planning my RAP, I really wanted to have a local mentor who can meet up with me regularly. But before I made my first contact, I checked recommendations from Opentuition. Then I found the Learning Luminarium was the most recommended mentor. Reading through other students’ experience, I felt Learning Luminarium has all the quality I want although they’re located in Singapore. I was proved right! During past year, Irwin was guiding me through the whole RAP process step by step. He was so professional and extremely patient. I felt so fortunate to have Irwin as my mentor, someone has a lot of experiences and same time has very good judgement. Without his guidance, I don’t think I can come this far. Right now, I’m all DONE and READY to submit! ( I know, the portal is not open yet) I’m confident in my RAP, and I’ll come back to this forum in September when the result is released! Good luck everyone 😛

    Thank you @trephena!
    So I can refer to the data from journals or business articles? do I need to validate the data? or it’s ok to rely on it? The company I’m considering just recently got listed in New York, so the company’s website only has 2018’s financial statement available. But if it’s ok to use data from other sources like business journals, that will be very helpful!

    Hi Trephena,

    I’m having trouble to find marketing cost for a company. There’s no detailed financial statements. It’s all lumped into “Selling General and Administrative” expenses. My question is: is it ok to use this expense instead of marketing cost to sales?

    Thank you!

    @trephena

    Thank you trephena. I hope this is my last question. If the company I chose is not a publicly traded company, does Sarbanes-Oxley Act still apply?

    @trephena

    Thank you trephena! The company I chose has worldwide operation but it’s an US company. Should I just focus on the events happened in the US? or anything happened around the world?

    @trephena

    Hi trephena,
    For topic 17, if I chose an US company, is there any corporate governance code to follow? I did search online, but seems US doesn’t have an overarching code for the country. Or any other guidelines could be used as a substitute?

    Thank you for your help!

    @trephena Thank you so much for your advice! I think I need to reconsider other topics then. Could you also answer my the other question? I wonder whether a School/Faculty of an University is considered an organization? For example, I’m working in one Faculty/School of the University, but the University has total of 12 Schools/Faculties. My question is, is it ok if my RAP only focus on the school that I work with? Because I won’t have access to all information to the entire University, but only the school I’m employed.

    Thanks again for your help!

    @trephena Hello, I’m thinking to choose Topic 2, hope you could help me with my question.
    The University is planning to implement a new Finance/HR system, but it still at the very early stage. I could gather the information about the new system, and data about our current status, but will not have any end results of the implementation as it will take 3-4 years for the entire University to roll it out. Do you think I could do my RAP with current information?

    THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR HELP!!
