The more I think of the exam yesterday, the more I think I will be resitting in December.. the NPV q in Q2 completley threw me and I wasnt able to answer the discussion element due to time.
FX Q – I think I did ok on part a but again the FOREX/currency swap question was left unanswered as I thought these were the same.
Q1 I thought I did ok but the more I look back I think I made a mess of the beta element
I got 43 and 44 in my last two attempts of AFM, praying that I get the 50 this timeI dont like the CBE platform, many silly little things are taking too much time in an already time pressured exam even with plenty of practice

November 19, 2018 at 3:58 pm #485248That’s great, thank you.
One other question – I was exempt from F9 but I would like to revise the lectures for F9 in prep for P4 – is there any particular topic that I can leave out from F9 that won’t impact my understanding for P4?
Thanks
LindaOctober 24, 2016 at 4:50 pm #345873I’m in exactly the same boat, I literally only got to start study for P2 yesterday – I am going to tray and study at least 2-3 hours every evening focusing on the most important standards and practicing loads of questions , fingers crossed this will get me the 50! If you need a study buddy to stay on track, give me a shout!
August 23, 2016 at 10:58 am #334690Also, I forgot to mention that I am enrolled in the Irish variant of P7 – is there any differences between Irish and UK variant?
August 23, 2016 at 10:25 am #334685Thank you – I read through the course notes last night as per your advice and will do so again tonight – do you think I should forget about the lectures at this late stage?
July 19, 2016 at 2:20 pm #327644Thanks for the reply – I have just downloaded the P7 notes from OT and I notice the lecture notes are for the international paper – I have entered for the Irish paper, is there much difference or am I ok to follow these notes/lecture videos on OT?
Thanks
LindaMarch 12, 2015 at 4:23 pm #232168I didnt actually sit auditing in my college course so there is no surprise that I have to sit it now!
I find that I have to write things out for them to get into my head, reading just wont help me!!
My hand will be falling off come June with the amount of writing that is involved in those answers!March 12, 2015 at 3:41 pm #232163BTW, I havent studied since 2008 so you have an advantage over me already ha! 🙂
March 12, 2015 at 3:40 pm #232162Hi Chris,
Like you, I have been granted exemptions from 8 / 9 of the fundmentals and have to sit F8 in June 🙁
I am currently doing an e-learning course and I have been advised to read the text from cover to cover (as if it were an enjoyable novel 🙂 ) to familiarise yourself with the material. My plan is to then go through all lectures and make my notes as I go along, once the lectures are done, I’ll revise each chapter individually and and attempt practice exams questions to make sure Im understanding the material! This might not work for you and who knows, might not work for me either but will test it out as it is my first ACCA exam!!
Good luck!
