the new FMA feels like F5 and F3 mixed in one bottle. i noticed a trend in the exams ACCA wants us to familiarise with the new topics because they know everyone already knows the old stuff so if the new staff is in the exams we will read about it and talk about so 2@ the end of the day we will know it.

ordering cost i put 15 as in 10 to place an order and 5 variable purchasing cost, stepped cost i would say 2.67 or 2.777 i don’t remember the one with a lot of 7’s because you had to subtract the step cost from the higher b4 you divide.

@anisasri i don’t remember whether $19000 was actual or absorbed but anwae VOAR= 2 i.e. (20000/10000) so if 19k is actual then the hours would be (19000+3000)/2 which is 11000 but if it were absorbed then it would be (19000-3000)/2 which is 8000. does anybody agree? how could i figure this now…. 🙁

there were too many calculation based questions so there was no way anyone who knew what they were doing would finish this paper, you would have to guess the rest of the way to make it thru. just imagine 2 prepayment and accrual questions, trial balance, reccuring depreciation of depreciated revalued NCAs, 2 recievables control acounts questions plus a payables account question and tones of share capital and consolidated accounts questions , i mean just reading the questions take about 2 minutes and the average time per question is 120 minutes/50 questions so a real all you have is time to read the questions nothing else so your focus would be to to identify 28 questions you are sure of do them first and the rest later. in this case it’s now about survival not excelling, i feel like i’ve been hit by a tsunami 🙁
