    Hi Everyone

Thank you very much for all the updates on this forum. I see the last update was on the 30 April 2015 and I was wondering if anyone has managed to establish what the pricing for the MSc modules will be?

I am unfortunately in the same, if not worse, situation as Latoyah in terms of affordability. While a cost of GBP1300 per module may look affordable or attractive to many, it is to a huge extent expensive if you consider the fact that I am studying in South Africa and my studies are self funded. This costing equates to a total of R70 200.00 for the three modules which unfortunately, at this stage is 23.4% of my total cost to company per annum. You can imagine the financial effect of this, on my part.

    Hi Emmu,

Here is my two cents worth. I am from South Africa, where an Honours degree is as long as four years and is regarded as a post graduate qualification. That means, you study and complete a three year undergraduate degree and a further year for an honours (post-graduate degree). However, I have come to learn that the UK doesnt really regard a honours as a post graduate degree, hence one can study for and finish an honours degree as a single programme as opposed to my country where you complete an undergraduate (bachelors) and then embark on further study (usually 1 year) to complete your honours. If you look at the programmes offered at Oxford Brookes University (OBU), for example, BSc (hon) Accounting & finance, is an undergraduate degree offered as a single programme, whereas in South Africa this is divided into two programmes, namely; Bachelors and then the honours component which is regarded as post-graduate.

Although the length of time a qualification takes can be used to gauge it against other programmes, it is not the only quality determining factor. It’s important to look at content, level of difficulty and quality among other things. For example, a programme that is offered over four years at one university, because the modules have been broken down into component parts in order to make it manageable for learners, could be compressed and offered over three years at another institution. Thererfore, this doesnt really make the three year programme inferior to the four year programme.

I hope this assists, good luck and enjoy your studying!

    Regards,
    Lebo

Like Raheil331 has mentioned, the OBU degree is the best option. However, I am not sure if employers will really look for a bachelors when you have an ACCA and MBA under your belt. You have got better and shouldnt worry about a bachelors.

    HI Ladies and Gents.

Just to attest to what Chuckchuckle has already alluded to, Puffin Browser works perfectly on the Samsung N8000 10.1. I am not sure if this will apply to all Adroid devices though. I have tried all other browsers including Opera and nothing worked, save for Puffin.
