Can anyone remember how to account for the construction . 9.55 and the Early payment 8.5

I said it would be at the end when completion is done. IFRS5

Think I done cash 8.5 deferred rev 9.55 finance cost the difference I had a mind blank.

The ethic question was pretty tricky.. I found I just wrote a a lot of honesty and conflict interest etc:

Think I got cash consideration of 3m for q1

Cash flow question will be lucky to scrape 4-5 marks: i just couldn’t think how to start and layout.

Impairment of stores I said should he held for sale for the 6 stores.
The primary should be tested for impair and couldn’t use internet sales through it.

I didn’t do any calculations for the NPV however I commented on the DCF and said it should match risk not the rate of interest don’t even know if that’s correct.
I said the marketing costs didn’t seem right.

I couldn’t get round the questions about behavioural changes and board members and information, as I didn’t understand how that would have to change for the adaption, should this have been to get a listing?

Didn’t enjoy the paper didn’t use any models and thought it would have been more on pestle etc

    Hi

Q1 I felt calculations went ok.
1a I was a bit lost and wrote some waffle around costs and profits and information needed.
Gamma and delta, waffled about risks but don’t think I would have scored any marks completely forget what they meant.
Did anyone write anything about the customised hedging from the bank?
The directors opinion, I said something about no need to diversify etc.
Q2 found ok although forgot how to do value at risk, and maybe scrapped a mark for sensitive analysis.
The question I felt was repetitive in theory in regards to not using the real options and to criticise the investment appraisal procedures.
Q3 think I done ok on the Calcs, had to use a balance figure for cash though.
The 10 mark at the end I didn’t do any calculations for, nothing to compare in the event of liquidation just didn’t have time.

Felt like it wasn’t an extremely hard exam just wasn’t my most practiced areas.. nothing on betas or apv, ungearing regearing which I practiced a lot.
Wasn’t a lot of marks for calculations either.

On q2 the WC the decrease each year was this 12% of the decrease I couldn’t really understand that part?!
    I think I got +NPV of 3.5 or something.

    Hoping to scrape by.

Nothing unexpected. A lot of marks for ethics. Bus risks and audit risks.

Think I messed up on a Part C, some calcs and comments on aggressive or conservative approach. My answer was a bit of a mess. Went with aggressive.

NPV only 5 marks wish it was for more.

    Hopefully scrapped a pass.

    Had nothing on shares.

On the lemon and lime q i totally messed up, couldn’t do the adjustments for section a so had to just do ratios on non adjusted figures.

Hopefully managed to get some marks from the ratios and comments on the non adjusted figures.

fingers crossed for a pass, guessed alot of the MCQ

    Hi

Thank you gave me some faith.
I have ordered the revision kit from BPP. I’m going to finish the tutors and perhaps do the examples again from the notes and go over the tutorials were I’m stuck.
I can use BPP study text to do the questions for practice and re read anything I’m unsure before moving on to the revision kit and pass papers.
If I study 2 hours a day I should be ok. I hope fingers crossed.

    thanks again

Just passed the exam 70% – studied the BPP book and revision kit & the 3 mock tests (open mock test & tutorial) – tricky questions but if you learn the book should pass. i practiced more on questions than reading think it helped me more take int he facts. Didnt remember any cases.
