In the December exams I sat APM and SBL. I found the knowlege overlapped pretty well so would recommend that.
For me I work full time and study in evenings/weekends so studied for longer than my usual 12 weeks and found it not be a problem (even with being ill a couple times!)

July 11, 2022 at 10:55 am #660287I sat ATX UK. Felt content overall on the content however some technical issues. Time also makes you forget how the exam did go!
Hoping we can all enjoy the sunshine and wait for Monday morning on the 18th.
Can I ask how did you find sitting 2 professional level exams at once? I am considering sitting my final 2 (APM & SBL) in Dec 22 but do work full time.
best of luck to everyone.

I just wanted to message to say that I experienced the same difficulty with the chat function not working to contact an invigilator. Just thought it might be some reassurance that you were not alone.
I tried at least 4-5 times over a half hour period and eventually had no choice but to leave for my 5 minute break but was very anxious to do so!
Sounds like there has been an issue here. I have submitted mitigating circumstances too.

December 17, 2021 at 8:40 pm #644481For section B I had dividend policy with few directors comments and deciding what type of policy they are talking about, foreign transactions and something about loan notes.
Overall wasn’t too bad with most multiple choice rather than enter the figure in blank box.
Didn’t have any WACC calculations in my paper which was a relief

June 7, 2021 at 5:39 pm #623722Exam went well. Ended up with an hour to check over my answers.
I find attempting the lengthy questions first asthe best approach so most time is spent on them e.g. 30 mark first then one 20 and then multi choice then final 20 marker and read over.
Make sure to read rhe question first so you know what you are looking for before reading the scenario and highlight those that relate to the question.
Typical questions of documents description and advantage, substantive procedures on trade payables/accruals, inventory valuation, legal claim.
Audit risk & audit response, internal controls to rely on & test of control, control defencies & recommendations, audit planning qs.
Read through previous exam answers as typcial answers crop up and was very helpful!
March 4, 2021 at 7:33 pm #613385There was quite a variety of questions.
Section C was a single entity statement of financial position, SOCIE & adjusted profit and an analysis of a new group using sections of statements & goodwill on acquisition & choosing most suitable ratios to calculate with limitations of this.
My exam cut off suddenly so threw me a bit and my nerves so not feeling too confident.
Section B was intangible assets, revenue & earnings per share.
Section A was varied but several questions on consolidated statement calculations, impairment, if an entity is to be classed as a sub, framework theory, development/research costs.
Fingers crossed can scrape a pass on good section A and B answers…
