I just passed the BA3 exam and the best advice I can give anyone taking any of the CIMA exams is to practice, practice, practice! The reason for this is because it’s no use rote learning the syllabus – ultimately you’ll forget, and then you’ll have to repeat the learning process every time you progress to one of the next levels.
The key is to really understand the material. You need to really think about each thing you’re learning and work through the logic in your head – you need to understand why it’s done that way. Once you have that in place you can logically work out the answer to any questions that come up. Personally, i think the beauty of accounts is that when you really understand that every debit has a credit, you realise that the answers are always right there in front of you. The only tools you really need to succeed are logic and of course, the age old “DEAD CLIC” & ‘PEARLS”!
Good luck to everyone who is reading this in search of some last minute exam inspiration!
