So, I got my welcome pack through today (no certificate yet!) and am I the only person slightly disappointed? You would think the pen would be slightly better than the naf plastic one – for £211 I was expecting a bit more!
And as for sending a CD – the 2000’s are calling and want it back!October 27, 2015 at 12:56 pm #279256I’m waiting on my certificate also and I asked ACCA why I have’t got it yet, apparently there was some kind of problem with the certificate printers and I’ve been told we have to wait an additional 6 weeks.
September 9, 2015 at 11:06 am #270720No – you don’t have to pay £205. You have to pay £211 and your 2015 subscription was for being a student, this isn’t a subscription its a membership joining fee.
As per the email ACCA would have sent you, graduate pending member means you have been accepted as a member however it won’t be officially confirmed until the ACCA committee meeting next week.
Hope this helps
August 2, 2015 at 10:16 pm #264803Hi 5oph
I’m obviously not Mike but felt compelled to reply as this time last year I was exactly in your position. I started ACCA in 2001 and took all of my exams (and passed!) except for my finals (P1,P2 & P3 – as you know the option papers were previously before these papers). I also had a 10 year break and decided last August that I would bite the bullet and complete the final 3 papers. All the prior exams were studied at BPP centres however this time distance learning (something I’ve never done before) was the only option. I decided to start with P3 at the dec14 sitting and despite thinking otherwise, I somehow passed! For the June 15 sitting I decided to take both P1 and P2 and very quickly regretted choosing to do both as the P2 syllabus is so huge and I quickly realised that the majority of the IFRS’s were introduced in my 10 year break and I didn’t know any of them, especially as paper 2.5 was done in UK standards. I used BPP distance learning and they provided a recap of paper F7 And luckily it jogged something In my head and slowly it kinda came back to me. I made my way through all the notes for P1 but decided to abandon this paper to concentrate on P2 and I didn’t do any P1 revision. I sat them both (well I had already paid for them so thoughts might have well). Oddly the P1 exam went much better than P2 (the one I’d studied to death!) and no one was more surprised than me to find out on Friday that I’d passed them both and I’m now an affiliate!
So in summary, I say go for it- study hard for the next few months and if I can do it, I’m sure you can too. P3 will really help with P1 which is why I think I passed P1 without much study!
Good luck and please don’t give up with only a mere 2 papers to go!August 2, 2015 at 11:01 am #264632@acca0393 said:

August 2, 2015 at 10:55 am #264629Hi Mike
I personally either can’t make head nor tail of the previous answers or they aren’t want you actually wanted to know! (the use of the English language on this forum is horrendous)
I’m a new affiliate and I can’t download a certificate either. I suspect this will be sent out in the post as the website says there is a charge for a duplicate (and that wouldn’t be applicable if it was just a download). So I think at some point soon, one will just turn up at the address you have registered with the ACCA.
Hope that helps!August 2, 2015 at 10:46 am #264625Passed with 57% and P1 with 50%- both first time and that’s now me done forever – thanks be to…….. me!
Can anyone beat me for the longest time to get to affiliate status? I registered with ACCA in Nov 2001 and had a 10 year gap before completing P1, P2 & P3 ( all passed this year on first attempt and first attempt at home study!)
Makes it all the sweeter though and means I have over 200 months of relevant work experience gained!February 21, 2015 at 10:14 am #229473Sorry everyone- these went some time ago to the first responder. And even if I wanted to, BPP course notes don’t come in digital format for sharing purposes!
February 12, 2015 at 2:38 pm #228131Thank you seagoat – that link is particularly useful, seems the answer to which ones to learn is in fact, all!

This is the 9th time I’ve fail P3 and this time I got a depressing 42% and surprisingly failed P7 also 43% I don’t know what to do again. I’m so fed up. Started ACCA in 2006 completed 11 papers in two and a half years and I’m still unable to qualify….. Every sitting the exam fees increase and every year subscription increases, just wondering is it really worth it?I can beat that – I started in 2001! admittedly I have has an 8 year gap since I last sat an exam and its a completely different syllabus since my last papers. But I bit the bullet last september and decided to take my very last 3 papers, P1, P2 and P3 (the optional papers used to be before these papers in the old syllabus so luckily I’ve already taken and passed those) Somehow I’ve managed to pass P3 first time and have just booked my courses for P1 and P2 in June and then I’ll be done forever! So yes, it will be worth it, I’ve even started planning where on the wall my certificate will go at work!
