Failed for the 5th time with similar marks again 45. Its my last exam but I don’t know what to do! I’m taking a break and may try again in Dec 2018 or might just call it quits! I did the course last year but can’t afford to do it again. I can recite the past papers and have buzz words coming out my ears but i just panic in exams and can’t get the info out on paper πŸ™

I suppose that you panic because you don’t put yourself under exam conditions during the preparation – i.e. you don’t do the mock exams. You should. Take 195 minutes and do the past exam – again and again. The material is not so hard, the hard thing is time pressure. The key to pass is good time management during the exam. So you should master IT first.

I suppose there are no changes. According to ACCA website: All exam resources listed as P4 can continue to be used, as the syllabus and content of the Advanced Financial Management exam has not changed.

Passed with 53% marks in 20 days preparation.

Man, do you really consider this challenging? I passed P2, P3 and P7 from the first attempt starting preparation in the end of April (and kept working in May).

I wrote that $7M is a provision cause there is a constructive duty and the company would probably pay it as it was its suggestion to settle both legal cases. The rest amount of $6M (5+8-7) is a contingent liability.

Actually tutor of one of the major providers said that the chance of SFP is 50%, CFS – 35% and PL – 15% (I suppose the same guy told that to him).

Well, I think that I did better in F8 than in F5. Moreover, I passed F8 much later (in September 2017) than F5 and I worked in audit for 5 years. So I think that my current knowledge of F8 is deeper than of F5.

    I didn’t pass F3 (exemption) and haven’t studied for P3 yet, though I liked F5.

I like evaluation and analysis more but I think in this particular case P7 is optimal choise for me.

Possibly I am wrong and P7 is harder to pass even in my circumstances?

For what seemed to be straight forward questions I think it was a shame not to have done well.

    Panic city.

Did anyone get the equity value of the target to be 1,556m?

And was the combined equity value lower than the equity value of the main firm?

    Best

1,556m looks very familiar as well as value of the combined company of 14,551m from the lower reply.

And yes, I obtained combined equity value lower than stand-alone value of the main firm.
