Hi all,
Clearing the cache and trying different browsers and P’S didn’t work for me. I eventually got hold of someone on ACCA technical help chat (took a few attempts and works best UK time in the morning) and they cleared the locked account for me.
February 8, 2014 at 10:29 am #156743No don’t give up….you are so close!
It took me 5 attempts and in the 2 months before the exam all I did was practice question, after question and it really paid off this time.
Your results show you have the knowledge so I suspect it’s question answer application
February 8, 2014 at 7:36 am #156572For those who didn’t make it this time. Keep going. Keep going. And further more keep going.
This exam took me 5 attempts and that disappointment each time was crucifying. Heart wrenching. Soul destroying.
But, today I passed and an now an affiliate! It is more than worth it believe me!
Just keep going and you will do it!
August 7, 2013 at 5:25 pm #135448I am so freaking nervous!!! I pretty much know the result, but oh wouldn’t life be sweet if it favoured me tomorrow 🙂 🙂
August 7, 2013 at 3:48 pm #135382Apparently ACCA havent closed it.
My friend (non-finalist) can access and enter for December exams???

It happened within a very short time before ACCA blocked the settings…one was able to see completed papers and even try to register for Dec 13 exams. But now you just have to wait till midnight.Thank God because I was so tempted to look but at the same time scared witless of the result! At least this way I can’t see.
Good Luck everyone

What you see there is a dummy flash of what was there just after you sat the exams!! In real sense the homepages have already been updated and will go live from midnight UK time….. This is how i discovered:1. Yesterday all homepages were somehow inactive at least for a few hours.. The tree wasnt there. I suspect it was at this period that results were been downloaded to our accounts. Then they removed the homepages and replaced them with dummies
2. If u log in now u will see that the logging in process is faster than usual meaning what u see there is just a cache
3. If u log in now u will notice that you dont automatically get logged out after 10mins of inactivity contrary to the normI’m not sure this is true anymore. Some forum users are reporting seeing variances in the exam entry and that they can enter for exams they took in June, or there told they can’t as those are completed.
Personally too scared to look!

that’s the point – with P5 I not only wasn’t sure what I’m studding or what questions could be about, but i also didn’t know WHY i need it. it was so useless and pointless for me.
P6 may be difficult but you know what it is for .When I took P5 I was seconded to our Business Change department working on Finance projects so I think that gave me an added benefit as I was able to relate the processes more to ‘real’ life.
You would think I could apply the same to audit having assisted our company audit every year for the past 10 years, plus managed internal audits!
The questions examiner is asking me as just not correlating to the answers in my brain 🙁

Hi, i took P5 3 times previously and then switched to P6. I took P7 and passed in my first attempt. You are a victim for P7 while i am a victim of P5. I thought P5 was easy but exam questions looked weird and tough. I still don’t believe in those ‘signs’ and hope every one here on this platform can pass and graduate. How did you find P6?
I am contemplating a move if I have failed P7 again (you try so many times that I think you start to miss the obvious)
I could potentially do P6 and P7? I have to pay for everything so have to take that into consideration.

Hey I am in the same boat, I just done P6 and P7 my second attempts after marginal fail in december, thought the exams went well until I came across this thread yesterday. My ACCA page is same as yours and now I got a bad feeling, I hope all this was a speculation rather than truth.
In december I walked out of P7 feeling good and got 47, got out of P6 like a disaster and got 42 so I am assuming if I have failed, I bet my house on P7. What a horrible paper.
Good luck everyone.
It’s all the speculation that is so mind-crushing isn’t it 🙁
In June I came out of the exam feeling confident (except on one of the additional questions – but that was only 15 marks (I still answered it) – but I agree P7 is very difficult.
good luck to you

Hi, is P7 your final paper ? What is the other option paper you took ?I took P5 in December 2012 as well as P7 and actually thought I had failed P5 and passed P7 as my focus was on audit due to it being a resit, but happened to pass P5 first time.
I passed F8 first time as well, with 60% so didn’t think I would have an issue with P7.
So yes P7 is final 🙂
August 7, 2013 at 11:00 am #135239I do believe I am resigned to doing P7 again now (for the 4th time!).
My page, all week has been the white page (and emails from students) – but has now reverted back to the original (switched back this morning) and it opens my June docket (sad now!)
Can I pick myself up again though?
P7 is horrific. I have the knowledge (I had an admin review done on the second when I got 46%) and passed all questions except Q1 (which when reviewing the answers realised I had mis-read part of the question).
I have studied every way possible – text books, courses, revision courses, practice papers, mind maps – so really don’t know what else to do if tomorrow proceeds as expected now.

A patient is going to die from terminal cancer. Should you tell him the truth or should you sugarcoat it to make the patient feel better?
Remember the truth is cold. What ethics should you use now? Age old ethical dillema with no ‘right’ answers. Ethics and professionalism is about doint the ‘right’ thing? Correct me if I am wrong? It’s not about being rude though.
August 6, 2013 at 10:34 am #135137It’s true though.
People have been waiting for 8 weeks to get their results – and yes there will always be lots of speculating and guesswork going on, but people do not need to be rude to other people who may be experiencing the realisation they have failed.
That is not professional or morally right – and considering the exams we are taking is a point worth making.
August 6, 2013 at 10:09 am #135124See I’m not sure about mine….very confused
If I log into MYACCA I don’t get the normal screen in yellow/black – mine is the white page (same as affiliates – but without saying it anywhere).
If I click on exam entry it shows the old June registration.
emails are still from students@acca
so my main concern stems over the fact the my actual log in page has completely changed to reflect the white screen and everytime I log in it asks me to confirm my PER.
fair enough I think i;ve now failed (based on everything else everyone has said) – but I still have a glimmer based on the fact my homepage has changed to the white page.
August 5, 2013 at 6:47 pm #135047When you log into myacca what does your page look like?
Traditional yellow/black with tree on left
white page like affiliatesAugust 5, 2013 at 11:54 am #135015I am a finalist and have completed my PER.
I am from the UK.
My password re-set came from students@accaglobal.com
My homepage has changed to the white screen (same as the affiliates page) – but not through the affiliates link. I log on as normal through https://portal.accaglobal.com/ yet receive the white screen page. (Yesterday afternoon I had the normal page with the tree structure (yellow and black) down the side.
Whenever I access it (through different PC’s in-case of a cached screen!) I receive a pop up asking me to confirm my PER status of experience.
If I try and access the affiliates link I receive ‘object not found’

Q1 a. 24+4 /// 16+2
b. 7 /// 5
Q2 a. 13 /// 8
b. 12 /// 7
Q3 a. 8 /// 3
b. 7 /// 2
c.5 /// 2
Q5 a.7 /// 4
b.7 /// 0.5
c.6 /// 0.5100 /// 50 😛
The UK variant was different to this.
It said
Q1 – 31+4 marks.
Q2 – 25 Marks
Q3 – didn’t do
Q4 – 12 / 8 Marks
Q5 – 20 MarksThere was no breakdown of individual point allocation

Did anyone here sit the UK variant paper?Basically, my paper for Q1 and Q5 wasn’t broken down in marks per requirement? did everyone sitting the UK variant find this was the case? I only realised this wasn’t how all the papers were because of what people have written here.
Q1 on my paper was in email format as expected and all the requirments were in the body of the email, as expected but there was no breakdown of marks againt it. It just said ‘respond to the email’ 31 marks. the email did not have any marks allocated to say audit risk was 24 marks.
reading above, it seems that the paper was broken down into each requirments and marks against it.
I am super worried now that my paper had printing errors or something.
Please let me know ASAP. Much appreciated.
I am in exactly the same position as you. The UK variant did not show a breakdown of marks in the first question – which is why I was getting confused reading peoples answers above.
Actually i don’t recall it on the second question either!

This indicates the updates havent been completed yet

My page hasnt changed and i saw my result on Saturday (apparently i passed my final exam).according to this user they saw a pass rate on their MyACCA site on Saturday but the page hasn’t update to the white screen.
If the results are to be trusted this means that not all updates have gone through yet
February 7, 2013 at 1:35 pm #114668I agree. I sent an email to ACCA Connect asking them to confirm and stated that it is very poor if this is the case as it means people have their results a week early and leaves speculation for others.
February 7, 2013 at 1:35 pm #114669I agree. I have also sent an email to ACCA Connect asking if it’s true and if it is stated its very poor that people know a week in advance.
