My advice is don’t let others influence your decision. I have struggled the same thing which you are struggling with currently, but I chose to ignore those people’s comments and successfully passed all papers in first attempt.

For second question, I would advise you to go for SBL first as the knowledge you learned in the subject (E.g. Preparing reports, letters, etc.) would help you in tackling other papers.

My last advice for you is it is better to take the professional level’s paper one by one. Unless you are willing to sacrifice your time with everyone then you can choose to take 2 papers in one go.
