Cheers Gloria – i started off writing about a JANE until i read that the majority shareholder had control of the sub – panicked – then started writing about FRS 25 AFS trade investment – accounted for at fair value trhrough reserves – please god we are right.
Cant beleive i may have to sit this shit again!
Can someone plese tell me if Manair in Q3 was a trade investment, joint venture or a JANE?
Disaster of a paper – and i thought i knew my stuff!

Yes I have passed P1 and P3 – they were quite handy to be honest – but i seem to get through them theory papers with verbal sh1t – im not expecting the same for P7 – our lecturer has told us its imperrative we read the whole text – however as im taking P2 along with P7 i wont have time to read the text so am concentrating on doing questions and learning notes we cover in class.
I work in audit which im hoping will help a little – but to be honest I think P2 will have to get most of my attention.
How about you – how do you feel about P3? – its good your sitting it in December as next June they are going to be putting alot of Management accounting techniques on the paper

Leo i be interested in chatting to you about the P7 paper – is it really that difficult?
Very surprised as the questions only covered a small part of the syllabus….wasted valuable time studying P1 when i could have spent it on P2!
It was more like a use your common sense paper….although having said that i never thought to use Tucker or AAA model when constructing Mr.Shreeves ethical arguement….DAMN!
Also compares to previous sittings it was a very time consuming paper…..left 16 marks behind.
Ah well all i can do now is hope i get a fair correcter!!!
