I agree with you guys that the most important is to pass a paper. However, I always tried to achieve as high marks as possible because this is kind of a challenge for me. This means that a 90+ is certainly worth more than a 50 for me.

heyy guys can u all tell me how many hours do we have to study in order to pass the acca exams or when is the ideal time to start revising & practicing the paper….3 mths,1 mth ??Personal reference is also accepted:)
Is studying 1 month before the exam is ok or not?
Only my own experience for F5 (I took it along with F6):
Intro course: 4 days x 6 hours, 3 months before the exam
Revision course: 3 days x 6 hours, 1 month before the exam
In the last month I studied an average of 1-1,5 hours/day except the last week when I studied 5 hours a day. That means 4×6+3×6=42 hours in courses and approx. 5×7+20×1,5=65 hours home study.
It was useful for me to learn definitions and lists (like pros/cons of zero-based budgeting) in the last several days because otherwise I would certainly forget those things. 🙂
August 12, 2013 at 4:55 pm #137759Hi,
I assume that it is reasonable to charge a fee to cover administrative expenses that occur even if you have an exemption. I don’t know however, why the amount is equal to the early exam fee. Some possible answers:
-ACCA wants to encourage you to sit the exam even if you have an exemption
-It is expensive to examine all the college/university degrees and other qualifications that can give you an exemption and the fee covers the cost of this work as well
-It could be an additional “barrier” that protects the reputation of ACCA (it is neither cheap nor easy to get the qualification)August 10, 2013 at 12:02 pm #137372Passed with 94%. The examiner was very generous since I didn’t have the time to complete the Balanced Scorecard question entirely.
There were so many “traps” (like multiplying with 3 in Q1) that I can’t believe I didn’t make a mistake in the calculations. (or maybe I made some but they cost only 1 mark each 🙂 ) - AuthorPosts
