I passed first time 65%. Very grateful.
September 3, 2024 at 8:42 pm #710726I thought the Exam was ok, but I feel that there was many areas that did not come up for me.
With TX I have found that I get stuck under time pressure and miss short accounting periods in questions , or count dates incorrectly forget to pro rata thresholds and allowances.
It’s not so much a lack of understanding of tax more to do with time constraints and not working well under pressure. But I suppose that’s the whole point in an exam .
I can honestly say I don’t know how I have done In the exam. I did complete the paper though :).

July 2, 2024 at 10:34 pm #707732AI updated me, I’m early in my studies and didn’t realise the employer contribution was included when considering maximum contribution. Probably getting confused as it’s an exempt benefit.
AI
Yes, the employer pension contribution is included in the maximum annual allowance. The annual allowance acts as an overall limit for total gross pension contributions, which includes both employee and employer contributions. If the total contributions exceed the annual allowance, including any unused allowances brought forward, there will be an annual allowance charge.June 3, 2024 at 10:41 pm #706566I don’t think I did the pay question right, but my understanding is that we was calculating a proof in total. I did something like divide the prior year total pay by 260 then multiplied by 300 then added the pay rise and calculated 1 percent of the prior year total pay year as an increase from 5% to 6%. I ended up choosing the bottom option 11. Something. But I didn’t hang around on the question in fear of running out of time

March 4, 2024 at 10:24 pm #701992I remember this, I flagged it to go back but had no time. I was impairing by 2.5 but couldn’t get a matching answer.
I think it was based on the RA that were given above, I think. But one of the items had depreciation so I was going wrong with that I think
March 4, 2024 at 9:21 pm #701987I had this. I did the ratio question second, so was short on time for that. Was trying to link to the scenario reading it with one eye typing watching the red timer ticking down . stressful . I wish I had done it first it was a nice question. I found the P&L tough
March 4, 2024 at 9:14 pm #701985I think I did this too ?
March 4, 2024 at 8:56 pm #701979This is what I had. You done well to remember,I’ve gone blank. I spent so much time practicing consolidation,I felt rusty on this. Also when I was cutting and pasting to make room ,my formulae was going to zero. Then I was getting really anxious.
March 4, 2024 at 7:43 pm #701969I can’t remember what I got. My mind had gone blank
March 4, 2024 at 7:28 pm #701963I had a trial balance . Had to do a P&L, SOCIE and cashflow. I didn’t like it. I spent more time practicing consolidation

November 24, 2023 at 10:23 am #695390It really is tricky. I keep changing my mind on the answer.
November 24, 2023 at 8:46 am #695380I think so. I think the answer is apparent authority
November 23, 2023 at 10:47 pm #695360I’m going through the posts for revision and to try and get a better understanding.
Do you think it’s apparent authority because Brittney believes he has authority.
Is it implied is what the principal assumes to the agent.
Apparent is what the client believes
