Congratulations to all who passed, commiserations to those that failed. I passed first attempt with 67%.

My main advice to those who failed is that the majority of the exam is word based not number based. This exam is supposed to be at post graduate level. Therefore for these questions I believe you should be answering with a well written balanced arguments that convince the examiner you understand both sides of the evaluation before reaching a conclusion.

I tried to write 2 / 3 sentences for each mark of concise, grammatically correct answers with detailed reference to the scenario given in the question. Lists of bullet points, part formed sentences would not get you marks in a postgraduate level exam.

I believe the subjective nature of some of the questions can be used to our advantage as it gives us scope to write in detail about the scenario and convince the examiner you have a good business understanding and understand the issues raised.

Good luck to everyone re-sitting this, this is just my opinion but hope it helps.

I thought the requirements were fair. My only small complaint was that there was too much info to read in the time given. It seemed very much like the examiner was trying to make it impossible for students just repeat information learnt off by heart as all the questions were very scenario based. Bit worried that I didn’t fill out which questions I did on the front of the exam booklet. Praying for a pass. Good luck everyone 🙂
