August 25, 2010 at 5:04 pm #60446accaman, I can but try. If they were easy everyone would be doing them.
2 quotes from Winston Churchill spring to mind:“Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts”
“Continuous effort – not strength or intelligence – is the key to unlocking our potential”
Best of luck to you in your studuesAugust 24, 2010 at 7:23 pm #60444Really well done….I have four to go & am thinking of doing the lot in one final sitting in December so I will take inspiration from you!! I also have kids (3) so it won’t be easy with work as well but if I pass it will be 13 exams passed in 2 yrs with one exemption. its a challenge but one worth aiming for i think
August 22, 2010 at 6:37 pm #65854Best of luck to all awaiting results tonight/tomorrow….I sat F9 & P1 & can’t believe how nervous I am. I’ve had to have few drinks to calm me dowm!!!! Swore I wouldn’t look at the answers on ACCA website but did in the end….didn’t recognise may answers…AAAGHHHHH
June 10, 2010 at 6:55 pm #63267Fail to prepare….prepare to fail. Everything that was asked today was on the syllabus so had to be a fair paper, although there is a trend of examiners tending to ask the same things but in a different way (tax this time last year and f7 at christmas). Anyway, if the exams were easy everyone who wanted to be would be an accountant. Suck it up and get on with it people! (and best of luck in the results to all)
June 10, 2010 at 1:52 pm #631961st of all….the question didn’t ask for the expected cash flow at the end of each period but the ending balance, therefore the (500) had to be the opening balance for period 1 and the EV of cash flows at the end of period 1 had to be brought to period 2. can’t remember exactly what closing bal was for period 1 but was something like 2100 positive.
June 10, 2010 at 1:45 pm #63192you’re q1 EV is totally wrong…didn’t bother reading the rest after that
June 10, 2010 at 1:29 pm #63187cporteus, think you’re reading too much into that part of the question, it was only 5 marks…..MV was 4m.
