    Second attempt 53

In the exam i think doing the questions that easy first is crucial, dont start with the questions that you know you are comfortable with because the questions you know you can do may be hard that day thus you waste a lot of time.

    How you can use r*4

##The major rule to master is the learning rate comes into play when production is doubled

##The Average time to make a batch unit or whatever is reduced by learning rate when production doubles

Therefore this is how production doubles

    1st batch

    2nd batch

    4th batch

    8th batch

    16th batch

You did not mention what the time taken to make first batch was so l will use x

    Therefore

First batch Average time = xhrs/1unit

Second Batch Average time =xhrs multiplied by learning rate (r)

4th Batch Average time = xhrs multiplied by learning rate (r)^2(r^2 means r to the power2)

8th Batch Average time = xhrs multiplied by learning rate (r)^3

16th Batch Average time =xhrs multiplied by learning rate (r)^4

From the question total time to make 16 batches is 8500hrs

So average time is 8500hrs/16 batches=531.25

Using our formulae of the 16th batch average time is equal to

    xhrs (r)^4

and we know that our average time for the 16th batch is 531.25

    hence we equate the two

    so xhrs (r)^4 =531.25

I think when you can calculate total sales and contribution always use method 1 as it will always give an answer without having to round off a lot.

I have the same problem. In the writting questions just try to aim to get half or 70% of the total mark.

For example a 20 mark question with a 12 mark calculation part and 8 mark discussion part.
If you you get 12 marks on the calculation and 4 marks on discussion in total you 16/20 that is 80%.But if you leave the discussion part a few silly mistakes can make you to get 10 or 9 out of 20 .Overall failing is easy.

For the discussion parts try to understand why something is done not just the rule.

If you are reffering to the new structure paper based with section a ,b ,c.
You are only required to show your workings on only section c.The first 30 questions are marked by a computer.
