last session p4 was easy, I attempted 75% and still got 50 % first time. good luck to students this session.I attempted 71%. Time pressure…I hope I scale through.
June 8, 2018 at 6:44 pm #457937I attempted 71% and I’m sooo worried. The exam was okay. I wish I scale through.
1b. Got a negative NPV.
2. At 4 percent zero growth value was 43m. At 5 percent to perpetuity about 48m.
4. futures 5.3 percent, but one of the options had 4. 8percent. Recommendation was to go for options since when it’s unfavourable you can decide not to exercise.
No 1 was poorly attempted.June 4, 2018 at 9:27 pm #456194valid point. must have missed that while reading the scenario in rocket speed..lol. oh boy…
June 4, 2018 at 8:16 pm #4561741a.Biz risk
*restricted funding, less contracts and decline in revenue
*restricted funding could also affect private customers, decline in revenue
*decline in farming industry
*diversification could be a risk?
No time!
1b romm
*impairment of undeveloped land
*revenue recognition of contract still at negotiation stage
*mgt bias, projected increase in revenue but less funding from govt
* provision for restructuring without announcement?
No time!
1c
*recalculate provision figure based on management assumptions?
*obtain representation from mgt that redundancy plan was communicated
*review assumptions made for reasonableness?
No time for d. Just sad!January 9, 2018 at 7:05 am #427952@lizzyopen said:
Finalists questions ….What will you do to celebrate if you pass next week?
If you don’t will you try again in March or June.

As a finalist, I would definitely have a quiet time of thanksgiving. I would definitely invite friends and family for barbecue and drinks. I had to take time off work to focus on ACCA. It has been a very tough journey. Imagine you have a better job offer and all the employer needs is your acca qualification. So it’s worth celebrating.
If I fail, I’ll do march.
January 7, 2018 at 11:50 am #427549Guys. It is much better if you give yourselves less worries. It’s just a week away. All the best to everyone.

January 5, 2018 at 11:15 am #427341I am also a finalist expecting P4 and P7 results. I am positive for both papers. Yes P4 was tough (specifically time pressured!)and that iota of doubt tries to creep in, but let’s stay positive.
July 17, 2017 at 9:41 am #396927I know that feelin. But don’t give up.
July 17, 2017 at 9:37 am #396923Passed! Scored 64. The lesson for me is to never give up.
June 3, 2013 at 4:32 pm #128567the variance question was my best. I attempted all questions, but didnt do the value of perfect information for 1, got stuck in calculating the life cylce cost per unit for 3, and just did the steps for zero budgeting and answered incremental budgeting question for no 5.I also did the balanced score card question. I really do hope I pass.
