    Students might apply the R.A.P. method—Read, Ask, Put in my own words—to increase their reading comprehension by asking questions and paraphrasing. After reading a piece or text, students will pose questions to assist them paraphrase tool what they have read.

    Read, Ask, Put in my own words (R.A.P.) is a flexible three-step strategy that students use to improve reading comprehension through questioning and paraphrasing. Students read a passage or text and then ask questions to help summarize what they have read in their own words.

    How to paraphrase online

    1-Read the original source carefully. …
    2-Identify the main point(s) and key words.
    3-Cover the original text and rewrite it in your own words. …
    4-Write the paraphrase in your own style. …
    5-Review your paraphrase to check it accurately reflects the original text but is in your 6-words and style.
