I know this is in the tutor section but will give my advice… Up to you if you take it or not.
I have just sat both P4 and P5 in the June sitting. I found them both challenging but keeping my fingers crossed. As advice, I didn’t find the content. Of P5 to be that difficult but the hardest part is the exam technique itself , trying to work out what the examiner actually wants from you. Much more writing in P5 not do many calculations really. p4 was more technical and calculation based so if you’re confident with that side maybe go there. In addition I found it really did just add onto F9 so if you enjiyed that go for it. Some tricky topics in there though i found interest rate and forex hedging tough.

Dan1ly I did something similar and came up with negative Eva (I confused myself a little by assuming a 10yr life so did include some amortisation). I also put something in there about the assumptions so hopefully we will get so,e credit. Surprised more haven’t commented on this as the lack of guidance here could lead to drastically different answers between students?

What did everyone do with the marketing expense in the Eva calculation, it was something like 7m spent on marketing in the period (50 percent t
Adding to the long term prospects of the group) I added this 59 percent back but then struggled to work out how to amortise this. There was the added complication in the cps employed they had spent this for the last 15 years I think?

Overall it was tough and I struggled for time but hopefully have a fair chance

That does seem like an expensive option and its not one my employer is likely to be happy to fund!
I think i will enter P1, P2 & possibly P3 in December. From initial research it seems that P2, for me, is likely to be the most difficult of the options level papers.

    Thanks for the advice

    Ok thanks,
I’m going to be taking F7 next week and like to make notes (highlighted) to remind myself to include events in final SOFP within consolidation questions.
Maybe i could just use my question paper to make notes on & highlight rather than run the risk of my paper being illegible.
