This comment is based on my experience. I wrote AAA this June and SBR in Sep ’21. Yes, there is a long gap. But a revision of SBR helped me refresh my memory of my knowledge on the accounting standards. I wish I had taken AAA sooner though.
AAA has questions that require to analyze whether the management used the accounting standards appropriately or not and will also ask you for the correct accounting treatment.
So, I would advise you to take SBR before AAA, as it would make studying for AAA much easier.
I have not attempted the APM paper yet. So I am not the right person to give tips on that.July 21, 2022 at 2:01 pm #661545mykolah wrote:PEOPLE DO NOT SELECT AAA!!! HAVE STRUGGLED WITH IT 3 times and finally passed with 50%. It may seem easy, BUT, it is not so. I felt I had it but they look more on structure and format of response in exam. You will for sure fail from the 1st attempt.
You will for sure fail in the first attempt??
That is not true. I passed AAA in the first attempt despite not being an ACCA prizewinner. And I’m also sure many others have passed it in the first attempt.
Just because you had a inappropriate exam strategy does not mean others would do the same in the first go.
Yes AAA is tough but so are all exams. It is the way we face it that makes it easier. Adequate planning and practice will help face the exam much better.

September 10, 2021 at 5:39 am #635220I had the same issue. The problem was they couldn’t see my video but I could see myself at the top of the screen recording. I’m also writing again on Monday. I hope these issues do not happen again.
