I treed to pass that paper during last 2,5 year. This time i managed with 55% pass.
What was different this time was as follow:
firs created mental map of all models. This helps not to mess up which model you use.
Then during exam I did the following.
    a) giving big picture about the scenario.
saying something about company market; competitors etc
b).linking every response back to scenario, which helped the responses not to look like ready text from book, lie i was quoting
    c) I would divide the responses in brief short paragraphs. And if I was writing something important i would underline.
    d) tired to be very neat, this is my biggest problem and also proofread, I have some form of dyslexia which makes the review very hard for me but i guess it was ok.
    e) Devoted full 2 hrs to firs question including first 15 minutes
    f) the rest of time i devoted to Q2. (try to write at least half of Q3)
    Success and don’t give up!

Passed with 55%. Very surprised did only two questions and had no hope for pass. I had worst preparation and performance this time, that was at least how I felt leaving the exam hall. Well no logic behind my results, other then this time I was relaxed and kinda already during exam accepting I would fail again.

Oh that is so right !!! and another thing is if you pay for your paper to be marked again, they do it also in a very poor way. the responses are so vague that this doesn’t help understanding what I did wrong. Well and for just getting email Q1 passes Q2 failed Q 3 failed I had to pay 70 pounds !!!

Well this was my I guess 5th attempt. I never had trouble passing any of the papers, I even was a prize winner in P7, but this this one is the painful one. ACCA wants us feel like its a real life situation but guess what, in real life you take informed decisions and not in 3 hours. So this paper is becoming ridiculous, it more burden to become member then anything else. In my opinion P papers shouldn’t be time pressured. I think someone with not enough preparation will not be able to pass the paper even if given extra time but those who had nice prep would write more reasonable, structured answers to the question. under eliminating time pressure I don’t mean 24 hours but more like CFA timing. In CFA if well prepared time Is more then enough so should be for the P module in ACCA, but then I guess for ACCA this is not profitable enough.
