I had wanted to add some thoughts on your question…

If the bonus rate as you have rightly calculated to be as:
40/60 x $6/60 x 20mins = $1.33

and not as
60/60 x 6/60 x 20mins = $2

Therefore, the basic rate for working 40mins should be:
40/60 x $6 = $4

and not
60/60 x $6 = $6 (which is the basic rate for working 60mins)
