May 18, 2015 at 11:24 am #246819Hi @trephena
I have a couple of doubts if you can help me out :
1. If I used on source (e.g. article) and wrote so many paragraphs based on the content of that article, where is the ideal place to keep the in-text reference? last paragraph, after each paragraph?
2. If there are similar in-text references (e.g bloomberg,2014), what is the best method of distinguishing between them in the text and reference list ( e.g. bloomberg a , bloomberg b )?
3. Is it fine to use same reference for everything taken from annual report?
e.g. in-text ( Vodafone annual report, 2014)
reference list: Vodafone, 2014. Moving forward, Annual report 2013. [Online] Available at: …………………………………………………………………………………(Accessed 12 January 2015)Thank you

May 1, 2015 at 1:58 pm #243513Hi @trephena
I need your help on the following:
1. Can I use a single reference for a couple of paragraphs. For instance, after writing a couple of paragraphs about one of company’s strengths (e.g. strong liquidity) and all these paragraphs are based on 1 article. Will it be sufficient to write (bloomberg, 2014) after last sentence.
2. Where is the best place to include calculation made other than ratios ( e.g. % change) and the raw data used to reach to the final figure. Appendix or excel sheet?
Thnx in advance
May 1, 2015 at 1:49 pm #243510Hi @trephena
I am resubmitting in May and in my results it says:
Skills & learning statement
Graduate skills
8. self reflection – pass
9. communication skills(inc. presentation) – pass
skills & learning statement – passSo, my question now is am I required to submit SLS/presentation this time?
I understand that re- submission statement is a must this time.
Thank you
May 1, 2015 at 1:42 pm #243509Hi @trephena
I have selected a listed company and their annual report for the year 2014 was published during March 2015. I have used 2011- 13 annual reports, so anything wrong with this?
Thnx in advance
January 21, 2015 at 12:07 pm #223224Thank you @trephena
I have one more question if you can help me out:
While discussing each ratio, do I need to cite/reference everything taken from chairman/CEO statement? Or markers already know what the source is. Because it looks a bit silly to write after each sentence or paragraph the following brackets: (annual report,2014).
e.g revenue has increased because of a recent acquisition (annual report,2014). One off expenses derived margins down (annual report,2014).
Thanks in advance
January 11, 2015 at 4:22 pm #222346Hi,
I want to know how can I insert function that uses data from different worksheets in the same excel file. I have created one file that includes both financial statements and ratios and I am trying to show the raw data used for the calculation of ratios.
This was one of the reasons for failure in my first submission.
Thnx
December 20, 2014 at 11:36 am #221177Hi,
I just have a couple of questions:
1. If the financials of the company and comparator are presented in different currencies, is there any need for translation? and shall I include this under limitation section?
2. Do I need to reference any information taken from the annual reports while discussing the reasons for changes in ratios/trends? Or the marker is already aware of the source and hence referencing is not necessary?
Thank you

Re first question : the problem I face that financial statements and annual reports are available for consolidated results and not for every entity. It is a telecom company whose headquarter in my country but has subsidiaries, joint ventures elsewhere
December 10, 2014 at 8:28 pm #220089Hi,
I just have two question if u can clarify please:
1. I have chosen two groups each having subsidiaries and investments in at least 10 countries. In Pestel and swot, I shall focus in which country?
2. I am resubmitting with a pass in SLS, shall I re-submit it again?
Thank you
September 30, 2014 at 12:11 pm #202291Dears,
I have failed in last session, with pass in SLS. Do I need to prepare SLS again, given the company selected this time is different but same topic(8)? Besides, which documents need to be attached with RR under such circumstances.Regards

May 21, 2014 at 10:08 am #169830@trephana I read your reply and have a further question. If the exchange rate is not fluctuation over the three years (10SAR/Dinar)…. Is it enough to just include the rate beside the income statement and balance sheet or translation in this case is required?
