@love: @fongky2 was right.
So far what is your weakness after exam that you had analysed yourself?
I had analysed my weaknesses in first and second attempt which was time management ie unable to cover all Qs and the way I write the answers.I found out it was much easier if we understand what is P7 about, see things in bigger picture, never show to examiner that you are rushing to answer Qs.
Which is why time management is vital.Exam techniques can be obtained in any revision classes, in my opinion as in Malaysia there are many different exam techniques in revision classes held by different lecturers.

Ya i knew that feeling. I passed on third attempt.
I think maybe your exam technique was not what the examiner prefer?February 10, 2014 at 10:29 am #157653Have you ever complete all the Qs as required?
February 10, 2014 at 9:30 am #157621For P7,
Time management is crucial.
Must be well rounded on all topic, get the bigger picture of audit process, and practise, practise PYQs.For P2,
Must covered all important accounting standards.
DO NOT over emphasize consolidation in Q1. there is more marks on accounting standards in Q1.All the best guys!
February 10, 2014 at 1:09 am #157493Finally I am an ACCA affiliate passed with 58 marks. My third attempt. First attempt with 36 marks & second attempt with 48 marks.
I think time management is essential and you MUST attempt ALL the qs.
I had answered all qs but not really meeting the marks requirement.
I think only half or more of the requirements only coz no enough time for me do so in my first and second attempt.Wish all P7 students all the best.
NEVER GIVE UP and study smart!!!! 🙂July 1, 2013 at 5:59 am #133435thanks to beyagala and also to Mike! 🙂

I can also subscribe to the Club of Bad time management. Actually, during my ACCA exams I had always had time management issues in the exam hall. Dec 2012 was the fourth time I took this exam ,which is my last one before becoming an affiliate . During the past 3 tries I had always had marginal fails – 46, 48 and 46 again. During the last 2 times , I was sure I am a going to pass the exam when I came out of the exam hall. Now , reading your comments ,Mike, I realise that maybe the approach was bad also. My attempt for a 20 mark question had always been to try to make 10 valid & relevant points rather than 20 points. I guess I need to start training myself in finding so many relevant points for a 20-mark question …I can already tell that it won`t be easy.
Thanks for sharing the pieces of advice with us !
ya. as far as i know in P7, markers want more points with detailed explanation which is why time management is crucial. all the best!!!! 🙂
February 20, 2013 at 1:34 pm #118337Sorry Mike I meant Dec 2013.

Hi Mike, I really appreciate your comments above.I think I struggle with time management and waffle a lot around the same point. I always feel very stressed in the exam when I allocate the time according to 1.7 mins per mark and feel that omg I should be writing by now but I am not. During the 15 min reading and planning time, I always find that I am too busy just deciding what questions to do and understanding.
I will try your 1.3 min per mark idea and giving planning more of a thought so this means that for a 20 mark questions I should spend about 8 minutes planning and 26 mins writing? I think I waste too much time reading the case as I feel I am a slow reader and under stress dont understand what the case is going on about and what the question is asking.
June ’13 will be my 4th attempt. How shall I best revise for it? I have bought BPP CDs to listen on the train and am thinking to go through the notes per topic and attempt questions from the kit. Initially using the text. Would this be correct? I feel so stressed now and losing confidence in ever passing this paper.
Thank You
I had same issues too. Dec 2019 will be my third attempt for P7 and second for P6 in June 2013.
The reason i failed is lack of doing past years questions. Hopefully I can pass as now I decided to take only 1 paper per sitting. 🙂February 15, 2013 at 7:49 am #117902@spencerli said:
I passed with 55% and did an online BPP revision course. The key to passing this exam is definitely exam technique. Practice, practice, practice!
totally agree with you!!!!

Hello..
I have just finished my f789 exams this session. And i wanted to start doing some work on the Bsc Degree. For that i need to complete the Prof. Ethics Module and the RAP. But i don’t know how to start. Can somebody plz help? Lemme Know:
1. Is there any course for the Prof. Module?
2. Is there a limit of the no. of attempts i make?
3. If i fail in it 2-3times, will it effect my Degree?
4. How do i start with the RAP?
5. Who gives me the topic on which i should start researching about?I would be really glad, if anyone could help.
Hi!
as for your Qs:
1. you need to do ur prof ethics by urself. if you are attempting P1 then it can give u a great help.
2. There is no limit for Prof ethics
3. It will not affect your OBU. are you doing FIP or Prof ethics? there is a difference between both.
4. you should download ACCA obu pack to read all the info then only you may start ur RAP.
5. ACCA obu pack will have 20 topics.
I think it will unlikely to be change.Hope these can help you.
