Truly this paper is a disaster. for the second time filled the exam by few marks π , but passed F6 in first go:)
practiced most of BPP revision kit and F5 past papers, I watched all the videos and got lots of support from the Mr.John Moffat, thank you so much for the all the support sir (Mr.John Moffat) Because of you F5 became one of my favorite subject. November 18, 2014 at 6:26 pm #211083I’m really sorry if I ask a wrong question from you, I watch all the lectures both F2 & F5.Yet I watch the Variance Analysis again to make it more clear. Since they have given the Std Idle time as % I thought I should multiply by % the std price. sorry again π
Thank you very much for the clear answer….

November 18, 2014 at 2:51 pm #211012Hi Thanh,
It’s the standard mix 7000 ‘X and 3000 Y, therefore (7+3=10)
X’ =7/10 x 15000 = 10500
Y’ =3/10 x 15000 = 4500November 17, 2014 at 9:33 pm #210804Second Question
A business manufactures a single product that it sells for $20 per unit.
The unit cost of material is $5.
Total operating expenses are $80,000 per month.
Each unit of the product required 2machine hours, and machine hours are limited to 20,000 hours per month.
What is the throughput accounting ratio for this product?November 17, 2014 at 9:05 am #210621Thank you very much π
November 17, 2014 at 8:52 am #210613Is the answer $210
November 12, 2014 at 10:44 pm #209495Thank you so much.
Sir is the answer 7500/-. Mistakenly I calculate with the selling price. when its come to sales mix variance should we always calculate with the contribution?
I watched all the video lectures and one of the best online lectures I have watched. But when its come to exam questions I really do stupid mistakes. I don’t think I can score on Mixed yield variance π .
