December 10, 2012 at 1:18 pm #110499@wl.obu,@elliem,@msamelia and others who use NFPM non financial performance measures like those in building block model for Q1,b I used the same recomendation too by saying these should be used in conjuction with other financial measures so that over all company to have very good perfomance encompacing major objectives and stakeholders need.So cheers! we will surely get some marks for that.In General it is very difficult to write without thinking what exactly the requirements are and what the examiner is looking for are usually in between the lines and deep in the widely /large scenario so the very challenging thing remains time pressure ….
December 7, 2012 at 7:38 am #109662@frankie,
or any one who did Q5?was it a review engagement? so I think we do not have to write about audit openion I found this after I write and tried to make some adjustment any one else of the same view? any one who remeber Q5 all the marks and questions?December 7, 2012 at 6:50 am #110467I did not expect such exam/questions (q1,q2,q3) and it seems for most of those who commented above.so we are all wrong that we concentrated on certain areas of the syllubus,so while the question q1is a little bit not clear on the requirement and lengthy as usual,it is some what easier than previous one had we been prepared for all the areas. So for me q1 is the same as for every one i DID Q3 & Q4 AFTER Q1 AND LASTLY Q2.I was put of by q2 first but when I finally came to do it regreted because I stared doing rolling budget which was ok but then time was up.I expect a pass, atleast the majic one.good luck every one
December 3, 2012 at 2:52 pm #109531well question no 1 was fine and no 2 is too but could not get enough time to write others just a try.Hoping for the majic 50.

I don’t know .I will post some questions for you to explain it to me like the above for now have to go ….

August 9, 2012 at 8:32 am #103706I support the above two comments. If it were not for the time pressure, which we have mentioned in detail after our exams,I would certainly score more.we need some kind of
August 9, 2012 at 8:28 am #103549I failed by 46 ,Alex Watt did his job I realy believe 50 was not to much for me as per the discussions on this same site after the exam I never failed before.I want admin review but do not have 50 pounds the rate of which is 28 in my country.
June 22, 2012 at 7:32 am #101026We would really appreciate if we could get acca p5 exam answers for June 2012 ,perhaps the examiner could release it as a temporary (subject to change answers)
June 21, 2012 at 12:45 pm #100056sarraa222 said p7 was hard for me it took me two hours to complete qs 1 🙁
Sara222 said 2 days, 15 hours ago:
p7 was hard for me it took me two hours to complete qs 1me too and as a result I had only done part of q 2.3 and 4
hoping to get the magic 51 I hate 50June 19, 2012 at 8:01 am #98788candidates are you watching what the pole on open tuition on p5 showing?and where it is heading? I think some ……are voting against the majority to reverse our claim or what……will somebody talk?
June 18, 2012 at 12:33 pm #98775I am in for the petition or what ever type of action to express my correct complain against p5 exam of this June.By the way some of the suggestions here need to be put in a careful way, that saying Alex Watt should do no use to us who sat p5 in June instead we must make clear that 1.the markings must take the situation into consideration so that there will be some change in the passing marks point
2.for all those who will take p5 in the future ACCA need to control the examiners and the examination questions set for a particular exam session and hence chnging examiners won’t help(firing ALex) as the new comer may be the same so either ACCA must watch and review the examiners(which I believe it would do) or
if not doeble ,perhaps due to agreements, changing would be an option.so what we need now is our p5 papers be marked in a fair way due to failure of the examiner to set the questions right.hence the group must take this into consideration when protesting or writing to ACCA or taking any feasible action ….
June 15, 2012 at 8:55 am #98699I believe every candidate believes in being examined in a fair way that must test the skill, professional ability, knowledge under a time pressure etc.
However coming to the p5 exam the following facts prevail…
-it is understood that candidates must be tested with real life related facts and scenarios .in the real life you will have a time to identify and understand the problem, time to think ,time to propose and come with solutions but in an exam where we are required and given time only to write the answers such type of questions are far to hard than we could imagine. To proof this we can prepare questions of the same nature but from different syllabus area of p5 and make our examiner (with due respect )to sit for exam of 1.30 hours only then see the out come
2.it is believed that in real life and exams too the question/problem of the companies could be very difficult but ultimately the requirements will be understandabl(at least we will have time to do that does that make sense? well I believe so,in p5 what exactly are the requirements this understandably take time to figure out but remember there is only writing time(take in my case q1(I did not calculate npv and mirr there is no data for that only actual date of three years,is not NPV for project appraisal in the future?, question on six sigma and DMAIC what the difference between the two requirements? again question no.4 bench marking most agree that the requirement is not clear so is that how Mr.Alex want us to see the real future?
4.as in my case I read about performance prism well but do you to time pressure in q1,could not relate to the scenario in much detail here do not forget the time is only for writing so how are we jugged here (could Alex say candidates are not prepared well?)finally in real life we will have very difficult problems even worse than these but with appropriate requirements ,more enough time, even time to refer ,discuss and bla bla so Mr Alex do not think and go that far
every body was once a candidate like we are today
IS IT RIGHT TO CALCULATE NPV IN Q.1?
3.June 13, 2012 at 5:38 am #100041.Oh again time pressured due to too much time taken on Q1.But tried all questions
,leaving out partof the questions being not answering in full hoping to come back to do them but that was impossible. As I said attempted all questions is there a chance for me to pass? The question no1. clearly states acquisition of all of the canary by crow ,then it is 100%
February 13, 2012 at 1:13 pm #9399955% First time.I am very glad!planning to sit p7 and p5 or p4 in June for my final,any ideas.Thank you OT.
December 13, 2011 at 8:10 am #91830salam to all!
description of the questions is very well put by our friend tuanmuda.
As for me there is a lot to write while there is absolutely a time pressure.I wonder if there is any one who covered most of the points to be written withen the available short time.So except for the time pressure the exam could be considered not very hard.15 minute time is to short to read, annotate, plan etc I for one could not even get the time to read the whole question no 3.but tried to give a reasonable try for b. Any ways wish u all and myself the best. The magic 50! - AuthorPosts
