May 31, 2018 at 4:15 pm #455120Hi
I passed my final exam on 16th April 2018 and today just had my final objective approved by my line manager.
I have got 36 months worth of practical experience and have completed the Professional Ethics Module.
What is the process for membership? do I just wait or do I need to apply? on the MY ACCA page nothing has changed apart from telling me what has been completed.
Thanks
May 17, 2018 at 1:37 pm #452446I was like you all after passing my last exam in march. I didn’t know where to start or what to write.
I have now completed 6 with the help of my manager. (as in giving me criticism and advising what else can be done to complete the objective)
What I did was write a statement answering the description and also giving 3 or 4 examples which help cover the elements.
I was on usually 500-600 words so then had to cut it down to 300 words.
first one is always the toughest
April 17, 2018 at 1:19 pm #447730Did both papers P7 got 74% p5 53% passed first time.
P7 i found easier as i just pointed out anything that felt wrong or could be manipulated.
P5 i was stressed as when doing past papers the answers i thought were different to examiner so its just luck in the end
April 17, 2018 at 1:16 pm #447729UK Version is all lumped together while other variants are split out.
Advantage you can write anything to get the marks and not limited to specific sub questions.
Disadvantages there no structure so you cant allocate time to each part.
April 17, 2018 at 1:14 pm #447728Did this exam in September 2017 got 74%
Think trick is to think like an auditor and anything that looks or feels wrong in the scenario is wrong…thinking outside the box works with this paper
April 16, 2018 at 1:57 pm #447406Used opentuition lecture videos and also did all the questions in the revision kit for Kaplan.
Passed first time but most of the answering is to do with understanding the question.
Some questions in the past paper you think you know the answer then when you see the actual answer it is completely different.
This exam is more about understanding then memorising.
In march we had benchmarking, ERPS, EVA and transfer pricing, hardly any ‘normal’ models it was all understanding the scenario and talking about it.
April 16, 2018 at 9:58 am #447289Think is the bit where it says create letter of good standing then you can print some letter to say your status or something like that..will be found under the address box on myacca
April 16, 2018 at 9:09 am #447221I thought ACCA was masters level or have i got it wrong?
I think from myacca you can print a certificate that shows you are an affliate and have completed all p level papers..
Also does anyone know if we need to start submitting cpd points? Just got an email about attending a seminar to get 7 cpd points??
April 16, 2018 at 6:44 am #447106Passed first time with 53 now an affliate.
Previous results
P7 74
P3 52P5 i did using open tuition lecture videos but mostly doing past papers think i did every single one in kaplan revision book.
Also in exam time limit yourself to 1.8 minutes a mark be strict..i left some questions half answered then went back to them at the end but main thing is to fo all questions.
Also learn the theories inside out like balance scorecard benchmarking eva transfer pricing all which came up in march exam.
Im just so relieved im dont with exams its been tough.
Good luck all and praise be to God who answered my prayers.
