60% pass, surprised as I left out a question but happy days! One more to go and then I’m free, its been a long hard road.

“Don’t give up” is a cliché but it’s just absolutely true.

This is encouraging, its taking me a while with a few ‘life’ breaks also. Well done on completing I bet you’re over the moon you don’t have to do anymore studying!

Passed with 65%, quite surprised as was expecting just to scrape through if at all due to bad question/time management.

Just want to say a special thanks to Stephen for his calming voice and silly jokes, that helped me to stay calm during revision.

    Bye bye SBR bye bye.

Afternoon paper. I also spent far too long on Q1. My main problem is I can’t speed read and take in information and with the questions being so wordy and not being able to write in the margins (the highlight tool is very clunky) I have to keep re-reading stuff.

Think I got carried away with the amount I wrote on the ethics question about music venues as its something I can relate to and am interested in.

Like some others who have commented I find it frustrating that the syllabus is so broad so you have to spread yourself quite thin and then most of it doesn’t get tested. I was under the impression a current issue would be tested so had read quite a bit about the changes to IFRS proposed and sustainability/corporate responsibility and cryptocurrencies etc. Annoying.

My question has been answered in the tutor section so no need to respond to my request above.

Thanks for your assistance Mike, think I understand it now. I was misinterpreting the meaning of the word title to mean the same as title of a book etc and just couldn’t wrap my head around what the point was.

    Kind regards,
    Gina

If anyone has the BPP book, on page 85 it has a table with Exemption clauses relating to various impled terms such as title, decription, quality and suitability and sample. I’m not quite sure how this works and what the table is trying to explain to me.

Is it the implied terms from the statute acts into those various elements that either cannot have valid exemption clausses or they must be reasonable?

    Hope that made sense,
    Thanks in advance!

Apologies if this has already been asked, I couldn’t find it on a quick look of topics.

I’ve got the BPP book, on page 85 there is a table which details if exemption clauses are void or subject to reasonableness test with relation to the sale of goods or supply of work/materials.

It has various categories such as title, description, quality and suitability and sample. I’m not sure what these titles refer to, can you give me a bit of context or an example so I can understand how an exemption clause could be put in a title for example?

    Many thanks,
    Gina
