50% on 2nd attemp and finally qualified. I couldn’t get a better birthday present.
Good luck to everyone and never give up!June 8, 2018 at 4:24 pm #457449@ds3ce I totally agree with you about the paper. I failed in March with 47 due to poor time management as you had this time and that’s why I did question 2 first and when I had the exactly same problems with you in question 1, I jumped to big data and then did question 3 so I left with 80 minutes for the last 35 marks of question 1. Then I wrote down all the bullets for the report and I made few assumptions for the new measures to propose without the pressure that I need to rush. I managed to write 15 bullets for the report and two measure proposals which I don’t even know if they are correct but what I want to say is just be flexible and follow what you feel it works better for you.
I hoped the lesson learnt last time helped me out this time. If not, I’m changing to P7 as I’m not going to gamble again to guess what the examiner wants for my last paper.
Good luck to everyone

The only thing I would add to chivonniesweets answer is that if you struggle with the calculations just improvise and analyse your findings even if they are wrong. I definitely got at least 5 marks for my analysis on wrong computations which helped me to get my 50%.
Good luck and keep fighting.July 17, 2017 at 12:36 am #39656250% best passing mark ever. Good luck to everyone who failed
November 3, 2016 at 12:19 am #347150Hi ds3ce,
I think I had exactly the same problem with you and what I did was, I attempted firstly the question from part b which I knew the best, then I did the big one the best I could and the last 30 minutes or so I tried to get any ease marks for the last question. I think I scored around 17 from the project question, around 30 from the compulsory and finally around 6 from the last one, so I got a 53. Also, really important is to plan your answer, especially in part a, during the first minutes; otherwise you will loose your direction and will end up being repetitive. That’s the reason that I failed the first time. Better spend few minutes in planning rather than just attack the question. I really hope it will help and wish all the best to you and your kid.
