    Hi Trephena,

I’m thinking of choosing General Mills Inc.(main) and Conagra Brands Inc.(comparator), could you kindly confirm if these two are comparable as General mills is more focused on cereals and snacks and Conagra makes canned, frozen, preserved foods and bakery items.

    Best Regards,

No it does not include passing p1 but you have to have passed your F papers two months before submission deadline which means youre not eligible for may.

    Hi,

I plan to submit my RAP for Topic 8 in the November period

The companies I have chosen are Pfizer and Merck with year ends of Dec.I have some queries.

1, If Im submitting my RAP for the november 2017 period does it mean i have to use the years december 14,15 and 16?also kindly confirm that we are not expected to use quartely of half yearly results?

2,If im including financial information for upto 2016 this means that my analysis should only extend to events only till 2016 right?as anything from 2017 would not be relevant to these years?

3.Do I use the financial information of the the parent company or group?

    Awaiting your kind response.

    Best Regards,
    Furqan

    Hi John,
I have a further clarification to make.

If the company is US based and the exchange rate is quoted as

    1 $ : € 2 – 2.2

So the company will buy low and sell high?

But if for a US company the exchange rate is quoted as

    1 € : $ 2 – 2.2

So it will be opposite and the company will buy high and sell low?
    Regards,
    Furqan

Herd Co is based in a country whose currency is the dollar ($). The company expects to receive €1,500,000 in six
months’ time from Find Co, a foreign customer. The finance director of Herd Co is concerned that the euro (€) may
depreciate against the dollar before the foreign customer makes payment and she is looking at hedging the receipt.
Herd Co has in issue loan notes with a total nominal value of $4 million which can be redeemed in 10 years’ time. The
interest paid on the loan notes is at a variable rate linked to LIBOR. The finance director of Herd Co believes that interest
rates may increase in the near future.
The spot exchange rate is €1·543 per $1. The domestic short-term interest rate is 2% per year, while the foreign
short-term interest rate is 5% per year.
Which of the following statements support the finance director’s belief that the euro will depreciate against the
    dollar?
    (1) The dollar inflation rate is greater than the euro inflation rate
    (2) The dollar nominal interest rate is less than the euro nominal interest rate
    A 1 only
    B 2 only
    C Both 1 and 2
    D Neither 1 nor 2

I think I’ve got it,because payback method is based on inflow and we are given profits in the question so we add the dep to get cash inflow right?

Sorry for posting the 2nd query again you said you couldnt understand it properly so I tried to explain it better.
I am facing an issue when trying to register for the mentee program on OBU site, one of the point on its requirement checklist says that I need to complete f7,f8 and f9.
I have given F7 and F8 in June and i am going to sit F9 CBE in October.
Does it mean I cant register until I clear my F9 CBE?
If I start working on the research mid October than it wont be possible for me to do a good job on it? I dont want to wait till the next period if possible.
Thanks for all your support trephena.
