Which study materials did you use and also on weekend revision, was it 10/12 hours for both days included or 10/12 hours each day?
10/12 hrs (maximum) of study in total for the whole weekend (sat + sun) – you do not wanna stress yourself too much, especially when there are still some weeks to go!!!
and you were only reading right, which revision kit did you use, if you used them, BPP or KAPLAN?
I prepared on BPP, but this mainly because I used it since I started and get accustomed; personally I never used revision kits, study texts only
Also how far back where you revising the past papers up to, i.e 2011/2010.
the farthest was 2012; this because of changes to syllabus and exam formatJuly 18, 2016 at 10:26 am #326895Below my answers to your questions:
How many weeks did i start preparing before the exam?
This really depends on the paper, I’d say a couple of months is generally enough for one single exam
During weekdays wat time did u finish work and how many hours did you do during weeksdays?
To prepare these 2 exams, started mid of April, on average 2 hrs a day from Monday to Friday starting at 6 pm
On weekends how many hours did u do? 10/12 hrs on a weekend
How did u study? Coutse notes first and then exam and practice kit?
ONLY study text (one of those suggested by ACCA) + technical articles + past exam papers
Did u make notes or only read?
Just read
Any more tips ot advise you use which you think would be relevant?Further advise based on my experience:
– skim through the whole chapter before starting to read, just familiarise with the headers and bold writing within the chapter;
– make links between topics, look at the big picture, dive into details as long it is required to understand a concept, but get back to the surface as soon as you grasped it, do not let yourself get bogged down by details;
– do not put to much effort on memorising as few questions only require you to list;
– build up mental images, it will help you remember concepts rather than written words.Hope this is helpful and best of luck!

Hard work eventually pays off. Proud of myself. All the best to the fellow students who are still on their way to the finish line! Never lose focus and confidence!
