Have you tried volunteering work in acountancy? I.e. work for a charity in their accountancy department, even if its just book keeping.

Once recruiters see this on your CV, even if you only did it for 3-6 months on the weekends, then you are more likely to be put forward for accountancy roles within a company even if you start as a temp. Bear in mind though, you might not get/ work for a company that offers study support, but you can get good real life accountancy work.

This is the journey I’ve been on, and now 2 years on with the same company I began as a temp. Fully employed. Now I just need to get these exams under my belt.
