Passed 4th attempt, with 58%, which for me is a strong pass. I’m done! it’s taken more than 10 years with a large break in the middle. I am so glad it’s over! I can finally apply for membership.
For those who didn’t pass, do not give up! This time I downloaded the last 4 years exam questions and did every one as well as Questions from the BPP Book for those topics which had not come up recently. I have to say after previously using just BPP the Open Tuition lectures were much better and included more practical comments.
To add i am 45, work full time and have 8 year old twin boys, I am also not naturally bright. If i can do it you can too. Good Luck!

They have got rid on the performance prism & beyond budgeting and introduced Big Data. I can’t remember what else may be put a post on the P5 forum for advice as well.

I completed my 13 papers in Dec-2010 then took a break for 4.5 years..now started studies for last 1 paper i,e P5 attempted it in June, Sept, Dec and March and got 41,43,21 and 45 really nervous as if i could not clear the paper i will lose my P level 4 papers by Sept 2017. cant dare to study more its like walking on nails bare footed to study but the 2 attempts to clear the P5 makes me more nervous and Panic..how to build interest in studiesCheck your My ACCA it says when you will time out. I was due to time out in June, but due to the fact you now have 10 years to complete your P papers I am OK. I also have P5 to go and have failed it 3 times. Am retaking it again in Sept 2017. ACCA changed the rules last year.

April 17, 2017 at 9:52 pm #382233Thank you gabrielasdiana. That’s good advice. I just have P5 to go and that’s it. I think having 1 left will give me the incentive to really apply myself.
April 17, 2017 at 5:59 am #381879Hi Julian, I didn’t sit P5 this time (have failed it 3 times, retaking in Sept), but did pass P4 on my 3rd attempt. I wouldn’t recommend doing both. P4 is a hard subject and needs a lot of work and question practice. I can’t say anything about the admin review process. But if you didn’t go down that road. I would do P5 in June and P4 in September.
April 17, 2017 at 2:39 am #381823For those who passed how did you do it? I didn’t take it this time, but passed P4. I have to resit P5 for the 4th time in September. I last took it in December 2016 and was convinced I had passed, but only got 38%. Prior was 2 lots of 43%.
I have read in P5 you have to give practical answerrs and you can’t just recite theory, is this what you found? Thanks
April 17, 2017 at 2:32 am #381819Passed 57% on 3rd attempt! (previous marks were 38% and 25%) The key to this paper is question practice and keeping an eye on ACCA articles. As this was my 3 attempt i did nothing but questions for 6 weeks.
(now got a 4th attempt at P5)January 16, 2017 at 7:27 pm #367752Failed P4 again, second attempt, but know I made some stupid mistakes. I am going to resit in March.
January 16, 2017 at 7:26 pm #367751I failed P5 for the 3rd time. What’s worse is I have no idea where I went wrong, so am changing papers and will do P6 end of this year. My mark went down on my previous 2 attempts.
April 18, 2016 at 1:28 am #310758Mine was by email.
April 18, 2016 at 12:17 am #310662I am really pissed off. I thought i had done but than i had. I only got 32. If it was in the 40’s i wouldn’t have been surprised.
January 18, 2016 at 1:51 am #295322I failed with 43. first attempt. I went of on a tangent and had a couple of mind blanks. Working on P4 for March, which i am finding Very hard. So will retake in June
