if I’m allowed to make any comment taimur, I would suggest you to take one exam at a time…
February 1, 2019 at 2:46 pm #503850I would like to briefly mention my storyline as well, how I became ACCA.
I had exemption on all F level exams and not needed to have ATX, as a result of being CPA in Turkey.
I started with P3 in December 2017, then P1 in March 2018 and P5 in June 2018 then finally taking SBR in December 2018.
I aimed to have passing grade for each at my first sittings, which I accomplished. I had completed CMA in 2009 and for that examination I had targeted higher grades thinking that would make a difference in my professional career and being just out of business school with a MBA I still had that kind of mentality, score as high as possible. But 10 years down the road, with other priorities in my life I decided to not make such a sacrifice (I never cancel weekly exercise sessions I have; 4 days a week). At the end I had 65 in P3, 63 in P1, 55 in P5 and 53 in SBR (good that I completed the the process giving the fact that there is decreasing trend in my scores:))
My study plan was similar to that of @mshoaib1997 but limited to 8-9 weeks. I started by watching OT videos, then moved to read Kaplan text book. Before moving into Kaplan exam kit, I prepared a list of questions for last three years in the book and also top 5 topics which have been asked. First I completed full review of text book, then focus on these two listed questions (last 3 years and most asked topics). After completion I did a quick review of chapters, and allocate final 5 days for any topics which I don’t feel comfortable (giving the fact that 2 out of final 5 days was not for study due to business related responsibilities and travel requirement to take the exam).
As of Monday 14th, I felt very relaxed and fairly treated by ACCA. I reached my personal goals to complete all in first sitting. Could I do more ? Of course, if I were not exercising that often, not joining running races just before the exam, or studying towards my CPA in the mean time I believe I could have done it better. Does it needed ? It depends on your goal but I would like to highlight everyone that, everyone has different life and priorities and life is not 100% ACCA, there are much more things going on. At the end, we all live only 1 life so we can’t miss it out.
Hope my stroyline also helps others towards completion of ACCA and again thanks for OT.
p.s.I never looked at link theory whether it is working or not. This way, learning that I have completed the process makes me feel much better in a way.
January 31, 2019 at 5:41 am #503753Exposure Drafts is a tricky topic per my opinion because it is an “on going” status…I had found in ACCA websites about which EDs I will be responsible an I printed them out and read couple of times…
January 29, 2019 at 2:14 pm #503578It is not a surprise for me to see that the plan I applied for all my exams is pretty much the same shared in here…I sat P3, P1, P5 and SBR and passed all at first attempt…
I dedicated 2 months per exam and took one exam at a time…I had my local CPA exams mean time but this schedule pretty much allows me to study for 2 months, relax for 1 month…
I also spend around 1-1.5h a day during business days and 5-6 hours a day during holidays…I started my studies by watching all videos of OT and taking notes that I found important…
Then I studied using Kaplan text book. After I finished I moved to Kaplan exam kit to study questions…I did not solve any questions, but studied, read until I really understand the answer and read again…Then I reviewed questions asked in recent year (last 3 years I had picked) and questions from topics asked more frequently…
I had a quick review session on Kaplan text book and spend another week on questions…
I always leave last several days empty on my schedule giving the fact that exams are during my company’s reporting deadlines, for any unpleasant surprise…
January 14, 2019 at 6:24 am #501545passed in my first attempt…
July 26, 2018 at 11:35 am #464733just checked pass rates for June sitting and surprised that it raised to 35%, highest since 2016…
July 16, 2018 at 8:10 am #462930passed in my first attempt with 55%…

@ds3ce That sounds like a good idea and one that i shall use for my resit!
I should have put down what i thought instead of over thinking it and wasting valuable time!
Q1 asked for 3 new performance measures using the info given in appendix 1 didnt it? Which is why i couldnt get my head around what to use. My obvious choice would have been the online sales measures but as they always say to ‘answer the question asked’ i disregarded these. Maybe i fell into the classic trap of not reading the question carefully too!I felt the same during the exam and wanted to highlight the need to adopt performance report to new CEO’s plan to achieve aims of the company…therefore even there was no data given, I provided formula to be used in order to calculate two the measure I provided, web-based generated revenue % and investment in technological developments % within total capex…my third one was revenue per floor space…I’m very curious about how it would be evaluated…

Does anyone remember numbers in Q4b? It was $1 difference in material cost due to supplier issues and $2 (or $1?) due to poor procurement?I did double check the amount by subtracting quantity variance amount from total variance and it was $3.0 per kg…
(actual quantity – standard quantity)*standard price*production quantity = total quantity variance
(520-500) * 21 * 350 = 147.000
(actual price – standard price) * actual quantity * production quantity = total price variance
(24-21) * 520 * 350 = 546.000
total variance in material given in the scenario was 693.000
June 7, 2018 at 8:01 am #457399corporate failure and divisional performance are my two weakest links, so I had a trouble in section b of the exam…
I was relying on (i) part of section a question but I realized that I analyze in much higher level than indicated in here…also for (ii) I suggested some metrics which don’t exists at all (such as web-based revenue percentage) so not sure how it would be marked…
hopefully I would be able to gather 50 and look for the next (and the last) one…
when the results will be out ? 16th of july ?
April 18, 2018 at 3:54 pm #448009wow, taking p5 in june…good luck to myself 🙂
April 9, 2018 at 8:26 am #445752I definately agree with the request…especially, I need to travel to another city to take exams and the company I work for has extremely strict deadlines (not days even hours in some cases)…every time I take ACCA exam, it creates big problem on my schedule (late leave from office days before and backlog to eliminate immediately the day after)…
January 15, 2018 at 6:25 am #42969565% on my first attempt…
July 20, 2017 at 11:56 am #397772took the exam as a first time along with f6, and failed in both with 48…
gonna retake in december but only one exam this time…still didn’t decide whether if it would be f6 or f7
